Chapter 308: Chapter 308: THE SORCERESS’S IDENTITY 2
The sorceress nodded with satisfaction upon seeing Calista’s reaction. she was getting better and better with each passing day.
"Since you can’t make up your decision, how about I show you something for a bit? I think that will help you greatly to decide!" the sorceress suggested enthusiastically as she looked at Calista with a friendly smile and then at Orson with a sinister smile.
The two of them seeing that, knew that it wasn’t anything good and Orson panicked.
"What do you want to do? haven’t you done enough harm already?" he yelled infuriately at her, no longer caring about who she was and how powerful she might be.
He had a bad feeling that if this was a game of showing others, this shameless sorceress might end up showing Calista something that he didn’t want her to see. If that happens, wouldn’t their dead relationship become even deader?
But who was willing to listen to him?
Calista upon hearing that, curled her lips in interest.
She had always been wondering about what kind of thoughts Orson has. What kind of life he has and how he sees her but she couldn’t do anything?
Blackey could help her see these visions and experience something from the past, because he was connected to her. for people like Orson, she wouldn’t know unless she was told.
Indeed, her thoughts, and feelings were playing tug of war and she was going crazy because of that. if the sorceress could help her overcome this obstacle, she was willing to do so even if she gets hurt.
And seeing Orson objecting to that even at the expense of offending this deity. She was even more interested in learning what secrets Orson has. So, without bothering to look at him, she looked at the sorceress and agreed.
The sorceress’ lips curled in satisfaction and with a wave of her hand, Calista was nowhere to be seen. She had vanished and Orson panicked.
He ran staggeringly towards the sorceress shouting, "where have you sent her? Where is she?"
The sorceress seeing that clutched her stomach and burst into a hearty laughter, finding Orson a bit over the top, she might say.
Orson seeing her laughing that hard, stopped in his tracks just a short distance from her and took deep breaths to calm down.
The sorceress laughed for a long time, and shed even tears. Once she had enough, her expression turned cold as she looked at him and Orson felt a chilly wind blowing at him, making him shudder.
He looked warily at the sorceress but still boldly asked, "what have you done and why are you doing this?"
He just couldn’t get it. wasn’t she the one who sent him to Calista? Wasn’t she the one who pushed them together and now she was also participating in separating them? What was she gaining by playing such a duo role? He just couldn’t get it.
The sorceress snorted as he looked at Orson feeling frustrated and mad at this person.
"I gave you a chance. A chance to hold the child I loved dearly and gave a unique chance in this world. It was the first time I saw such a pure child, one who could set aside all thoughts of revenge to live a happy life.
I wanted to see her happy, in love and surrounded by kids. Her life was meant to be filled with laughter and I thought that you, a broken man who was trapped in the past would be perfect for her.
With her outgoingness, and your .... Coldness, she would melt you and you can cool her down and restrain her. as you know, she can be hot tempered at times but still remain lovely.
She doesn’t mind being wife number ten as long as her lover loves her. she loves big families and yours with two girls already was very good. you have something that she needed and she had something that you needed.
It was supposed to be the perfect match but you two really ..... in fact, I can’t even blame her but yourself. How could you be so foolish?" the sorceress just wanted to open that brain of his and see just mentally disturbed he was to throw away such a good person because of his male ego.
Orson stood there as he got reprimanded, her words lingering in his mind for a long time.
Seeing him like that, the sorceress felt that explaining would waste her time, so she waved her hand and he disappeared, leaving Shadow standing there and looking at her coldly.
"I would advise you to throw away any evil thoughts in your mind. If you can’t beat her, then you can’t beat me as well. just because she showed you mercy now doesn’t mean that she would remain with such thoughts in the future," the sorceress warned Shadow, whose thoughts were truly disturbing to listen to.
Upon hearing that, Shadow adjusted his mentality and looked away. Out of sight, out of mind.
The sorceress was helpless when she was that but relieved as well. Shadow was boring to mess around with. She might as well focus and see what those two were doing. The results should be fulfilling, right?
And she was spot on.
****
Calista didn’t know what the sorceress was up to but whatever it was, she was on her side.
After being thrown somewhere she didn’t know, she found herself witnessing something incredulous, she didn’t dare close her mouth.
The sorceress was truly her good godmother, she didn’t hate her anymore.
Calista was sent to see the life of Orson from the start to finish.
She couldn’t believe that he was a child thrown away by his parents. Contrast to her life. She was picked by her foster mother and in return got misplaced.
Apparently, it was foreseen that he was a calamity star and would make his family suffer and all that. Calista didn’t believe in such nonsense as she had seen a lot of scammers who took advantage of religion to fool people.
These scammers broke a lot of families and caused so many rifts, and yet they went scot-free. In such a world where people were very religious, it was normal that his parents would believe such nonsense.
But if they had known that their choice would result in their extinction one day, would they have regretted their choice back then?
