Chapter 249: Chapter 249: SHARING GOODS

Everyone arrived at the factory safe and sound.

No blood was shed along the way, and the people, fearing drama to happen, were all relieved at seeing that.

When they arrived, the kids didn’t enter the factory as they all remained outside playing.

When the employees saw Calista, whom they hadn’t seen in ages, they were all excited, worried and filled with mixed emotions.

But luckily for them, Calista didn’t come here for them today. She wanted to check the inventory and what the factory had managed to produce ever since she collected the other things before.

Calista took a look at the goods that had been produced in her absence and felt a sense of pride towards her dedicated employees.

The managers in charge of the workshops came over to her to report.

It was the day that they had been waiting for, so everything had been tallied.

Calista listened to their reports first, understanding how much had been produced, or currently in production.

After hearing everything, time had tickled by however, her babies shouldn’t be awake by now. So, there was still time to watch as the people involved shared their goods.

Calista dismissed the managers, leaving the room with her, and the interested parties.

"These aren’t the only goods available for grabs. However, let’s share these first. I guess that you already made concessions and agreements beforehand, right?" she said to them, a smile on her face, thinking about what this group of people had been on and about even before she gave birth.

Hey have been eyeing her goods for a long time.

"Um. We agreed before. We just need to share them fairly according to the agreement," Diana responded as she looked at the people who came to steal her share.

To think that she was the only person who was supposed to get something, but now the goods were to be split into four. Her heart ached at the thought of getting less.

Everyone nodded in agreement at hearing Diana’s words. Everything was settled beforehand, including the ratio of sharing.

Today was all about sharing the goods, and then tabulating how much they would be owing Calista and pay her.

Seeing that everyone shared the same mind, Calista stood by the side and gave the floor to the parties involved.

"According to the agreement, Diana, since she was the first to place the order, would get a third of the goods and the remaining two-thirds would be shared among us three," Leeshay said, sharing the agreement with Calista.

Calista had no idea that it was like that, however, listening to it. It made sense somehow. Anyway, as long as she gets the money, who cares about the ratio they would be using?

With that out in the open, the sharing started.

Calista watched everything with a twinkle in her eye. It was fun watching these people quarrelling now and then, despite having agreed to the ratios beforehand.

Once the sharing of what was in the factory was done, they all looked at her, urging her to show her hand.

She still has in store the other goods that they wanted.

Seeing them so eager, Calista was forced to show her hand and expose her secret. Which wasn’t that scary anymore. The greatest secrets she had were Blackey and Whitey. Since those two managed to expose themselves, what was exposing the storage ring compared to that?

However, she had no idea that this secret was a bit too much for the people in front of her than the spiritual beasts.

’To think that she possesses such an artefact! Just how many more secrets is she hiding?’ that was what Orson thought who stood next to her as he watched the drama unfold.

Calista was unaware of what these people thought took everything that she had stored out of the storage ring and settled it by order. That way, it would be easy for them to share.

None of them commented on what they saw but simply continued to share the goods with thumping hearts.

If someone dared show her hand openly like that, it meant one thing to people of power like them; she wasn’t afraid of them knowing her secret.

And when a person is like that, it also means something else.

They were confident in their abilities.

In their case, if they let this matter spill, they knew what would be waiting for them.

Blackey and Whitey were already too much to handle. Then what about Calista’s abilities they haven’t witnessed yet?

They didn’t dare think about anything.

Calista had no idea about what was going on in their minds. In hers, she was busy keeping up with the tabs of each person, looking forward to getting her money when all was done.

Thankfully, everyone was very organized. The goods were successfully shared.

Once that was done, Calista, Orson and the girls left the factory for these people to have their goods loaded on the carriages.

They were leaving tomorrow, so serious business was to be done.

With those people at the factory, Orson finally found a chance to talk with Calista and have a moment with her as a family.

"Cali!" he called out to her as he stretched his hand towards her bravely.

Calista looked at the sneaky man next to her and smiled triumphantly inwardly.

Men like these who are used to women throwing themselves at them needed a bit of beating to learn.

The time when they were married, she was the one who ran around him like a possessed girl. She was afraid of him leaving her all the time. She didn’t dare let him out of her sight for long.

However, she was fooled once and learnt the hard way.

This time, she won’t be the one giving her all. Let him experience the heartache of chasing someone.

Despite her heart already being hooked by him. After all, she was someone who, once she loved someone, would do so until death do them apart.

Just like how she loved her first husband, disregarding everything that happened at the time that they were together. She loved him until he was buried in the ground.

She even mourned him for five years before she moved on.

She didn’t cheat on him but fulfilled her vows. Death separated them, so why can’t she move on also?

However, seeing how Orson was becoming brave, thanks to the earlier stimulation. She who hadn’t held his hand for a while now, craved for his touch.

She didn’t play hard to get, especially in front of the girls, and boldly stretched her hand towards his.

Zap.

The moment their hands touched; Calista felt as if her body had been struck by lightning. It was a familiar sensation and one that she missed badly in the past few months.

It felt good, feeling him like that.

The two looked at each other fondly without any words exchanged. As they say, eyes do tell and right at that moment, volumes were being said.

The girls had no clue as to what was happening to their parents. They could only keep their silence as they watched the two oozing with unfamiliar vibes.

However, looking at them, they both couldn’t help but have the same thoughts, ’it was good seeing them like this.’
