Chapter 244: DIANA’S SUGGESTION
Chapter 244: Chapter 244: DIANA’S SUGGESTION
Halona and Ayaan were not awake for long as they napped shortly after the mammies rocked them to sleep.
With them sleeping, Emma and Gemma played by their side, watching them sleep while Calista and Orson were engaged in their conversation.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
While the family was being harmonious, and not caring about what was happening outside, someone came knocking again.
Calista looked at the culprit and when she saw that it was Diana, she nodded at her in response, her intention pretty clear, ’Come inside.’
Diana didn’t linger by the door for a long time before she entered inside.
Seeing Diana coming back to see her, she couldn’t help but wonder if things at the factory weren’t going well.
As far as she was concerned, the goods at the factory were going to be shared in several portions, though the sharing must have not yet happened.
The Fischer’s, Diana, Leeshay and Faith purchased the stock in her hands. It was supposed to be just Diana and Hayes in the beginning, but the other two refused to be left behind. As a result, a contract was drawn.
If she wasn’t mistaken, the sharing should be happening either today or tomorrow. If that was the case, why did she return? Didn’t she have anything to do?
She was quite curious.
"Sis!" Diana called out to Calista smilingly, keeping in mind that the twins had fallen asleep again.
Calista beamed at Diana, this sister from another mother, and motioned for her to sit on the bed. With Orson sitting on the stool, she couldn’t have Diana stand while talking to her.
She was too lazy to straighten her neck just to look at her.
Diana unceremoniously sat on the bed and looked at Orson. "Brother-in-law!"
Orson nodded at her with a smile, loving how tactful she was at knowing how to call him.
Meanwhile, Calista rolled her eyes at Orson and at Diana for knowing how to curry favor.
Who told Orson to be so divine?
To think that at some point, these women hated Orson the way she did and after several diagnoses, they all liked him very much and were so eager to pair them up.
It wasn’t just them alone, but the villagers as well. Orson had been doing his best to gain the villagers’ love again, and the method he picked was the best.
What the villagers lacked in places like these was health services. Although she opened a clinic, Lisa’s abilities were limited. There were many things that she couldn’t do, but Orson could do them.
After providing the villagers with free checkups and teaching Lisa some ropes, he became much more popular once again.
She was glad that he did so and showed what he was capable of to the villagers. As long as he was useful to the villagers and herself, then she would consider letting him linger around her more.
"Darling, are there any issues?" Calista asked Diana curiously after brushing aside her thoughts on Orson.
Diana looked at Calista with a smile and shook her head gently, "Nope. How could there be any issues? We will be sharing the goods tomorrow."
"Huh~" Calista sighed with relief at hearing that. "That’s good. If any issues arise, just tell me. I will solve it with an iron fist."
"Haha, sis, don’t try to scare us!" Diana chuckled lightly, wiping the nonexistent sweat from her forehead, her imagination running wild, not daring to raise her voice. She didn’t want to startle the kids awake.
Calista grinned and winked at Diana, seeing how she was reacting. She must have thought something crazy for her to react that way.
"Anyway, why are you back here?" with all the jokes set aside, Calista directly asked, curious about the reason why Diana came on her own.
Seeing the topic returning to why she returned to the room in the first place, Diana didn’t beat around the bush and reported, "It’s about what we talked about earlier. I found your words very wise and felt that it would be a shame if other women didn’t know about them. So, I was wondering if it’s possible to write them down. That way when I return, I can bring a copy and have the books printed and sold all over," stating her intentions clearly to Calista.
Boom!
There were explosions in her mind when she heard that.
How come something so simple needed to be written down?
However, when she recalled how she wouldn’t have known all that if she hadn’t transmigrated and chanced upon the knowledge in a modern world, she had a mission to deal with during that time; she contained herself.
Diana was nervous as she waited for Calista’s answer. She was quite lazy when she felt like it. She hoped for a good answer, and at the same time, seeing her reaction, she couldn’t help but feel worried.
Meanwhile, Orson was curious about what these two were talking about. However, as a man, he didn’t dare ask about women’s matters, lest he receive an earful from Calista.
Seeing Diana’s nervousness, Calista felt guilt for a second before she calmed herself and responded, "I don’t have much to do. So, I might as well just write it. It won’t take much time. So, you can go with it when you leave," agreeing to do what Diana asked of her.
"Phew~~~" Diana exhaled a sigh of relief, the worry in her eyes vanishing once Calista agreed.
"Then, I will be waiting for your good news!" she excitedly said, looking at Calista with hopeful eyes.
Calista raised her hand and thumped at the other, promising. "It will be done, trust me."
Once Diana got her assurance, she happily stood on her feet and bid the couple goodbye before merrily skipping her way out of the room, humming a happy tune as she went.
Once she was gone, Orson looked at Calista inquisitively, but she pretended as if she wasn’t seeing it.
Who said that she should explain whatever she was doing to him all the time?
Feeling annoyed by Orson, she decided that it was time to kick both the father and daughters out.
Shortly after, Orson was looking at the door he had just closed with a wry smile on his face. However, the tagging of his daughters jolted him out of his thoughts.
"Father, let’s go. We need to go and visit Aunt Susan. She promised to teach us something," the girls urged eagerly.
As a father who loved his children so much, he found it difficult to say no. As a result, he could only leave reluctantly, still curious about what Calista promised to do.
’Women!’ he lamented as he got dragged away.
