Chapter 211: Chapter 211: WHO IS SHE?

Orson returned to the campsite; his men temporarily set. When he arrived, Vaani was awake and her face bandaged.

Unlike the time when she was hysterical when he found her, she was very calm.

That was the calmest he had seen her ever since he knew her. Everywhere she went, she was someone who always loved causing trouble, but this time, with the bandages on her face, it was like seeing a different person.

Orson sighed deeply as he sat next to where she was lying and looked at her.

"Are you feeling better?" he asked, concernedly.

Although what happened was unexpected, and he could have prevented it, though he didn’t do so, Vaani was still family.

Females very concerned about their appearances, and yet there were claw marks on her face. Even with the medicine that he had; he wasn’t able to treat them.

When he checked the wounds when Vaani was attacked, there was a strange fluctuation of spiritual energy surrounding her. When it comes to spiritual attacks, dealing with them was very difficult.

He might be able to treat her, but it would take long.

Only Calista at this point could make her get back to her original state in a matter of a second. Unfortunately, they weren’t in the state where they could ask for that.

Vaani exhaled a deep breath as she turned her head to look at the man who had caused so much damage, she had no clue.

To think that it was that bad. No wonder why that damned monster attacked her. She should have done her homework. Unfortunately, it was too late now.

"Pierce, just who is she?" at this moment, that’s all she wanted to know.

By knowing her better, maybe she would be able to get herself out of her current predicament.

Orson didn’t understand why she asked that kind of question, but he didn’t hesitate to respond to her. At least, if she knew, then maybe she wouldn’t resort to doing tricks again.

"She is Calista Solace. Her background remains a mystery, but she is a powerful master. She possesses a lot of treasures. Some of them you had seen and the others, even myself, don’t know."

"Since she is someone like that, why did you just leave her? Didn’t you love her?" Vaani curiously asked.

Didn’t men love powerful women just like how women love powerful women?

So far, with the little she had seen, no one would be able to match with Calista. If her beasts were this powerful, then what about her?

Orson wasn’t expecting to get such a question. It reminded him of the questions Hayes asked him earlier but was unable to answer.

"You won’t understand. It’s complicated!" he brushed the question aside, not willing to share his real thoughts with anyone.

Vaani, upon hearing that, nearly rolled her eyes at him, but the pain coursing through her right now was too much. She couldn’t play too much.

"Are the girls doing well? Did she agree to treat them?" since he didn’t want to answer anything about Calista, she changed the topic.

This time, Orson replied, "Um. She did, but it will take a while before they are healed completely."

Vaani smiled faintly when she heard that, relieved that she was at least soft-hearted towards children. With the way she icily commanded her beast to deal with her, and made her so embarrassed that having a face right now was just impossible. She had been beating herself for being too impulsive and thinking that the other person was easy to deal with.

If her actions had caused Calista to be so angry and refuse to treat the kids, she shivered as she thought of the fate that would have awaited her.

It wasn’t just about her, but everyone related to her.

Although she still didn’t like Calista, she sincerely thanked her in her heart.

She was truly thankful.

Vaani didn’t ask any more questions and Orson used that moment to check Vaani on how deep her wounds were. After diagnosing her, he prepared medicine for her and left the guards to prepare it for her.

After leaving Vaani, Orson went to the tent prepared for him and fished a paper from his sleeves.

He started writing something on the paper and when he was done; he bit his thump and let his blood drip onto the paper, his expression solemn. He then folded it and threw it into the furnace. He watched with a cold gaze as the paper burnt away until there was nothing.

’I hope that it will go well without a hitch!’

BLUEBIRD ISLAND

A man was reading a letter that just appeared out of thin earlier a while ago with an unreadable expression on his face.

He repeatedly read it several times and the expression on his face changed drastically as he understood the gist of what was happening.

When he was done reading the letter, he burnt it to a crisp, getting rid of the evidence.

Without talking to anyone, the man changed his clothes into an all-black outfit and sheathed his saber. He took out a mask from the cabinet drawer and put it on.

As he prepared himself to leave, a wind suddenly blew into the tent, making him take out a dagger from nowhere, ready to attack whoever was sneaking up on him.

"Why be tense?"

However, when he saw the silhouette emerging from the shadows and appearing like a ghost, he dropped his hand, inwardly cursing the person who had just arrived.

Looking at the fully emerged silhouette, the man coldly looked at the cloaked figure as he asked, "Why are you here?"

The cloaked figure chuckled sinisterly as it moved towards the man, but the man didn’t flinch and calmly looked, waiting for the other to say what she wanted to say and leave him alone.

"If I didn’t come, how were you going to leave this place without letting everyone aware?" the cloaked figure asked teasingly.

When the man heard that, his eyes narrowed as he looked at the famous sorceress who had caused so much chaos in the camp in these several months.

The other was indeed speaking the truth. If he were to leave now, everyone would know that he wasn’t in the camp anymore and that might be bad for his master and the family.

If he were to leave now, they would want to know the reason why he was leaving, but his master specifically told him to not let anyone know.

The appearance of the sorceress was timed well, indeed.

"What do you want?" knowing that he couldn’t do without her at this point, he asked directly.

As if she had been waiting for that, the sorceress took out two stones from her sleeves and gave them to him.

"One is for you. It will take you to the place you desperately should be. As for the rest of the journey, you can do it the normal way. The last stone is not for your use. Give it to her. She would need it pretty soon," the sorceress instructed calmly before vanishing from the spot.

The man looked at the stones in his hands and fell into contemplation for a moment. However, after some thought, his gaze became determined and, without wasting time, he used the stone that was his.

He knew how it was used, after all, he had seen it being used.

With a single crush, that familiar wormhole appeared and, without any hesitation, he stepped into it, heading towards the unknown.

At this moment, he could only hope that everything would go well so that he would arrive in time to deliver what his master had ordered.

Unfortunately for him, he had no idea that his arrival would trigger a spiral of events that would turn the life of his master upside down.
