"Tche, you must love them, don’t you?" sneering, she asked, as she felt her blood boiling at how a person could be so indifferent.

He didn’t even ask about how she was feeling and whether the baby was fine. in his mind, it was just his daughters. What about the one she was carrying? Wasn’t the child his, as well?

With a wry smile on his face, although he didn’t understand why she would ask such a question, he still answered truthfully, "If I can’t love my own blood, then who else should I love?"

When she heard that answer, Calista’s lips suddenly curled upwards, as her eyes slightly narrowed, her blood boiling so badly that Blackey woke up and peeped his head out of the sleeve flickering his tongue as he looked sinisterly at Orson.

Orson once again found himself being the target of those beasts, and he was at a loss. Did he answer wrongly again?

On the other hand, Ba Susan nearly hit the man on the head. How could he answer like that?

He should have remained quiet at least. Now look how angry she was.

"Indeed. Who doesn’t love his or her own blood? Since you love them so much, then be ready to pay the price!" with gritted teeth, she stated, her tone a bit icy.

Orson, upon hearing that, felt relieved. As long as the price could be negotiated, then he didn’t mind.

"What do you want?"

"What do I want?" she mumbled to herself as she closed her eyes.

’Should I force him back into a marriage? That won’t be nice. He doesn’t love me and he would just keep on thinking about the girls’ mother.’

’Should I make him my slave? No, that’s not good again. I will have to face those people every single day, plus that shameless woman.’

’I can’t have him stay here for long, but no matter what, he should be here until I give birth to his child. He is a doctor, after all. Anything can happen. And he should see his offspring at least once before leaving!’

Calista kept on thinking about what to do, and after a long battle, she found the right answer.

Her eyes snapped open, filled with resolution and a smile on her face.

Seeing that genuine smile, Orson shuddered with an unknown fear as he wondered what kind of scheme, she planned for him.

He still remembered how she schemed him into marriage. With a smile on her face while her mouth uttered threats after threats.

Seeing that familiar smile, could it be that she was about to scheme him into another round of marriage?

If it was like that, he didn’t mind, actually.

He couldn’t stop thinking about her all these years. When he heard that she was carrying his child, he was so happy, though, that happiness couldn’t be shown. With the two children he loved the most with their mother dead, how could he celebrate when they were on the verge of death?

He was certain that he liked her very much. Although it wasn’t to the point of loving her the same way, he loved his deceased wife, that was even better since he had never shown such emotions to another woman.

If they get married again, their family will be complete. He was sure that the girls wouldn’t mind that. They have been longing for a mother’s love for a while now.

As for the gold coins, that was even something serious. That kind of money wasn’t easy to save. It would take years of saving and yet she blatantly said it as if it was nothing.
