Chapter 200: Chapter 200: ORSON, HER EX-HUSBAND!
He was nervous, extremely nervous, as he watched her in another man’s embrace.
Honestly, he never thought that there would be a day he would feel this way for another woman, especially a woman who took drastic measures to force him into a marriage.
In his eyes, she should have been just a scheming, mysterious village woman he met incidentally and happened to have what he wanted. However, fate took its turn, and the two of them happened to share a wonderful moment briefly, which then resulted in the conception of that child—a child he wasn’t sure how to think about as he approached.
Was he happy that she was pregnant?
Was that child his, or she was seeing other young masters behind his back?
His head was filled with all sorts of thoughts.
"Master, the madam seemed to have spotted us and now leaving. What should we do?"
However, the second that he heard that rationality suddenly dawned on him.
Calista was never normal from day one. It was he who had always tried to forget that and just saw what he wanted to see.
If she could spot him from a distance, it meant that she was indeed possibly far superior to anyone that he had ever seen. And for someone like her, what was the point of playing games?
Just like how they faced each other in the beginning, he might as well do that.
With that in mind, he leapt out of the carriage and darted towards Calista, who was making her way back to the village slowly due to her heavy belly, being surrounded by that man’s guards.
How dare he?

"Are you sure that you don’t want to see him or talk to him?" Hayes asked for the umpteenth time as they slowly made their way back to the manor.
Calista harrumphed as she continued to walk. "What’s the point of talking to a deserter? Do I look like someone who just does what other people please?" she asked angrily as she turned her head to glare at Hayes.
Hayes shuddered when Calista looked at her. Even Whitey was hissing at him as if warning him to know his lane. Honestly, what was wrong with the mother and son?
"Fine. Since you don’t want to talk to him, then I will hold him off for you. That can be done right?"
Calista nodded as she turned her head back to the road. "Um, block him for me. And make sure he doesn’t get anywhere near me!" she said with gritted teeth.
The thought of Orson reaching anywhere close to her, she could see herself doing something the villagers had never seen before. If that does happen, would she still be able to live here?
She was worried about that.
Her temper was slightly getting worse with the pregnancy. She was afraid of doing things extra.
Unfortunately, some things don’t go according to plan, as they were in the middle of that conversation. Calista froze as she heard a familiar voice calling out to her, "Cali! Stop! We need to talk!"
Memories suddenly surfaced in her mind as soon as that voice reached her ears.
How long had it been since she heard it?
Four or five months?
Haha, why was her heart thumping loudly at just hearing his voice?
Was she still not yet over for him?
The more she thought of that, the angrier she became.
Calista snapped her head as she turned around to glare at Orson, who was a short distance away from her. Stopped by Hayes’s men, who had made a circle around them.
’He looks damn handsome!’ that was the first thought which came into her mind the moment she saw that face again.
Orson was very handsome, very much to her liking and the major reason why she fell for him back then. She wanted to keep him in her golden cage and take care of him forever. Unfortunately, her plan backfired. The man ended up scheming her instead and ran away, leaving her with a bulging belly.
And now he was back, looking glorious as ever.
He donned dark-purple robes and everything about him screamed untouchable. The aura he was emitting reminded her of those cold sword masters she used to see in that world she transmigrated.
Something about Orson made her think that Orson’s identity wasn’t as simple as she used to think.
However, was that any of her business?
Even if he was a prince, a reclusive master, or another woman’s husband. He was still the woman that she picked up, treated and slept with for months and conceived a child with.
In her eyes and mind, he was that bastard who ate and ran. And the kind of bastard she wanted to skin alive so badly.
So, for a moment, she was briefly affected before she returned the favor. Who didn’t know how to be cold?
Hayes, who was interested in the drama and yet didn’t want this man to approach his sister, suddenly felt chills on his skin, and he looked surprisingly at Calista.
When he saw that deadly gaze of hers and the hissing Whitey, he knew that things were about to get bad.
But he couldn’t let her do anything crazy. She was a mother, and a mother shouldn’t do anything crazy.
So, he dragged her behind him with a reassuring smile, hoping that she would leave everything to him.
Calista, seeing Hayes interfering, regained some clarity.
She wasn’t alone now but had a brother. Let him take care of it.
Orson watched all of that with an icy expression. Completely in disbelief that she would ignore him like that and still continue to be intimate with another man in front of him.
"You! Who are you?!" Orson asked the man who was by Calista’s side and the other chuckled mockingly.
"Me?" Hayes asked teasingly as he pointed at himself with a chuckle, giving Calista a glance before responding to Orson. "I am someone dearer to her. What about you? What gives you the right to yell at her? Aren’t you embarrassed that you might affect her? It’s not like you are blind to not see her condition right now!"
