A man looked worriedly at the two girls who were sleeping soundly. If only their cheeks didn’t look that sunken, he would have believed that the girls were faring well.

He felt fury rising inside of him but then it suddenly occurred to him that everyone knew that he didn’t want to be disturbed and this person still did it. Didn’t this mean that there was urgent news or something like that?

No one would boldly defy orders that can get you killed just for fun.

Thinking like that, he scooped away from his daughters and opened the window to see this bold person. And when he saw who the other person was, his eyes quivered and his heartbeat quickened as it dawned on him.

There must be news.

Seeing the other person, he looked at his sleeping daughters and saw them still sleeping soundly; he motioned for the rider outside to wait for him.

Moments later, he and the rider were a distance away from the moving entourage and his expression looked very solemn as he listened to what the rider had to report to him.

"Master, after a few days of scouring for news, I finally found something!" the rider said with his head lowered. "The madam found out that she was pregnant after you left."

If the man had seen the rider’s face, he would have noticed that his eyes kept on shaking with a complicated emotion in them. Unfortunately, according to protocol, he could only report like this saving him from exposing his inner turmoil.

"Is she angry?" he couldn’t help but ask.

Knowing her, she should be furious. If she knew where he came from, he didn’t even want to guess what she might have done.

"Does she have people by her side now?"

"How is she doing?"

At the same time, he was also worried about her. She had always been a loner. With her being pregnant and with him gone, was he doing well?

The rider, hearing those questions for a moment, didn’t know how to respond.

How dare she annul the marriage and pretend as if they were never married in the first place?

Just how angry and disappointed with him was she for her to do such a dramatic move?
