Chapter 168: Chapter 168: SHE IS BACK!

"My lady, she is waiting outside!" as her carriage approached the manor, Diana, who was in the carriage, received a sudden report from the coachman.

Upon hearing that, she beamed as she imagined how excited the other was seeing that she was here.

"That’s good. Stop the carriage when we reach the manor. We will take her to the factory site after that!" Diana instructed the coachman with a smile on her face.

"Yes, my lady!" the coachman responded as the carriage continued to move.

Meanwhile, on Calista’s side, she waited patiently for Diana’s carriage and didn’t bother with the other carriages which passed the manor.

She didn’t have any use for the items inside. Even if she saw them, it wasn’t like she could store them in the manor. it was better to have them taken to the factory. It was efficient that way.

Calista didn’t wait for long pondering over this issue as Diana’s carriage finally stopped in front of her.

Diana’s carriage was the last carriage of the entourage. It seemed that the other had been guarding the merchandise with everything she got. How responsible!

Calista applauded the other for her dedication.

As she thought of this, Diana’s annoying voice sounded, deafening her ears. She nearly wanted to throw the other out of the carriage and throw her all the way to the river.

"Dear sis!" Diana called out excitedly as she alighted from the carriage.

Calista rolled her eyes at Diana, infuriated at the other.

Not only was she noisy, but her arrival also triggered the departure of the people she had taken a liking to.

Why didn’t anything go well whenever she was around?

Diana, who was at this moment ecstatic to meet the sister she hadn’t seen for nearly two months, had no idea that she had just been accused of a crime she didn’t commit.

She was simply overjoyed to meet the sister she missed so much.

Calista, knowing that her thoughts were wrong, didn’t ignore Diana that much. After all, the other still brought what she sent for. She couldn’t act rude to a guest and a dear little sister.

"You are back!" with a smile on her face as if her thoughts were as pure as the smile on her face, Calista warmly welcomed the other. As if she wasn’t the one who rolled her eyes earlier.

Diana, not sensing a single thing, walked hurriedly to where Calista was standing and gently took the other’s hands in hers.

"I missed you so much. Did you miss me too?" Diana shamelessly asked as she looked at the other with hopeful eyes.

’I did not!’

"How can I not miss you?" with squinted eyes, Calista responded and Diana beamed upon hearing that.

"Hahaha, I knew it. My sister also thinks deeply about me. How can she not when I am this adorable?" feeling smug about it, Diana couldn’t help herself but say.

"Pft~" Mammy Lena couldn’t help but stifle her laughter upon hearing Diana’s words.

How can there be someone more shameless than her lady?

Besides, didn’t Lady Diana even see that the lady’s smile didn’t even reach her eyes?

If she wasn’t mistaken, her lady was probably thinking of slaughtering Lady Diana right now and the other was simply too ignorant about it.

Calista had seen shameless people, and she was one of them, but having someone act so shamelessly at her like this, only this stubborn girl can do it.

Seeing her like that, Calista could only take a deep breath, telling herself to calm down and not be rash. If she gets pissed off because of this, who knows how many wounds she would leave on Diana?

Diana, completely unaware of the dangers she just passed, gently pulled Calista to the carriage as she talked non-stop, so eager to share how much she missed her sister.

Calista allowed the other to pull her to the carriage. At least she was very gentle about it.

Inside the carriage, Diana felt even more energetic sharing every story that she could share now that Calista was in her presence.

Seeing how devoted Diana was, Calista temporarily set aside her frustrations with her and listened attentively to the other. Her stories were quite nice and for a person who barely left the village, hearing some juicy gossip from afar didn’t seem that boring.

Without her knowing, she found herself smiling and chuckling on the way, very invested in the stories.

The carriage finally stopped at the factory after a while, and Calista alighted from the carriage very carefully and with Diana’s help, whose gaze was fixated on her belly.

Nothing must go wrong; she was very conscious of that.

"Sis, I have brought you more than what you bargained for!" as they walked towards the carriages that were getting offloaded, Diana mentioned, a smile on her face as she felt great for the wonderful job she did this time.

At this stage, Calista’s frustration towards Diana is reduced to zero, and she no longer looks at the other as if she is being owed gold coins.

"I will be the judge of that!" she replied, as she looked at the several carriages, shed which indeed seemed to be more for what she ordered.

Diana heard that, in her ears, it sounded like a challenge and it happened to be one she was going to win.

Feeling very competitive, she ordered her men as she continued to walk, "Get everything off and bring me the people here!" the last part confused Calista.

What people again? She wondered as she digested that part.

"Yes, ma’am!" the order was acknowledged.

Calista and Diana continued to walk towards the shed since the goods were being offloaded. There was a bit of dust in the air, and she didn’t feel like waiting for the stuff to be taken off the carriage as she watched.

She might as well take a closer look once everything was on the ground.

What she was more curious about were the people that Diana talked about.
