A Love Reborn: Finding Romance Twice In One Lifetime
Chapter 161: HER CRAZY ASSUMPTIONS

Chapter 161: Chapter 161: HER CRAZY ASSUMPTIONS

Calista didn’t want to waste time and especially stressed herself thinking about this issue over time by keeping it to herself.

She didn’t have anything to benefit from this story at all, so letting it all out at this moment felt like a good thing for her. At least she would have wonderful dreams at night and not be tormented by the restlessness.

With that in mind, she looked at Mammy Lena, and Lisa and took a deep breath, her actions once again puzzling the two who didn’t know what was going on in Calista’s mind.

After taking a deep breath, Calista felt that she was ready to share her crazy assumptions with the two. She just hoped that it would make sense once she was done explaining.

"Mammy, do you remember the reason why that crazy sorceress sent you here in the first place?" she started by asking Mammy Lena that question, reminding her of the reason why she ended up in this place in the first place.

Upon hearing that, Mammy Lena’s eyes suddenly narrowed as realization dawned on her. She couldn’t help but look at Lisa with a scrutinizing gaze, making Lisa shudder at the thought of being looked at like that.

By the way, what did the lady mean by what she just said?

Did this Mammy Lena really travel the same way as her?

And if that was the case, what was the reason why she was sent here? She couldn’t help but be curious about the reason.

Mammy Lena’s mind worked pretty fast and the more she thought of the question and what was happening, she couldn’t help but feel that it didn’t make sense.

Although she had never said it out loud, from the moment she ended up in this place, her lady Calista was the person she suspected to be her mistress’s daughter. She even wrote her suspicions in the letter she sent.

She didn’t know if the letter had reached the family or not, but her earnest wish was for the lady to become the long-lost daughter. That was why she had put more effort into serving her. After all, she was going to be the family’s young miss, so serving her sooner was expected.

But then, if she compared Lisa’s story with hers, their stories both aligned and made perfect sense.

Lisa wanted to know about her biological parents, and she was here to find the young miss. If she wasn’t mistaken, Lisa should be around the same age as the young miss if she was indeed alive. And also, the same age as the lady.

She didn’t want to believe it at all. How could this person who didn’t look anything like her mistress or her family members be the young miss she was looking for?

But then, if she let logic take over, it makes sense. After all, the sorceress was involved and there was no reason why that person would go to such great lengths to mess with the lady, no matter how much they didn’t like each other.

"This ..... my lady, do you think that this might be the case?" still she couldn’t help but voice out her doubts.

Calista sighed helplessly as she looked at Mammy Lena who didn’t seem to want to acknowledge this fact before looking at Lisa, who was confused at this moment.

Seeing that Lisa needed a backstory of what was happening, she opened her mouth and started explaining.

When Lisa heard Mammy Lena’s story, her eyes nearly popped out of their sockets, in shock at the coincidence.

’Could it be that I might be the young miss that she is looking for?’ Lisa found herself hoping.

However, it wouldn’t make sense. The mistress lost her child somewhere in Kaneria, of which she was adopted in Literra. How could that be possible?

She couldn’t help but doubt, as well.

"I know that this might sound crazy, but we can’t let the chance just slip by!" Calista, seeing the suspicions and doubts on the two’s faces, spoke.

"My lady, this ..."

"I understand, but for now, I think it’s better to write another letter to your family. Or you can travel back home and check it out. I will provide you with everything that you need for a safe journey. We can’t delay such an important matter. You should understand how important it is for children to know their parents and parents to acknowledge their children!" Calista seriously spoke.

She was being serious this time. She was born and raised a slave. Her mother was long gone by the time she started recognizing things. She didn’t even know what she looked like and even if she had a name. she was just one of the slaves in that home.

And seeing other slaves like her with their parents irked her. It made her feel envious.

When she was being beaten for a crime, she didn’t even know what led to her death back then. She wondered how nice it would have been for her if she had her parents. Would they have begged for mercy or shielded her from such a cruel act?

How different would it have been if they were there?

She envied kids with parents so much and even more big families. Despite the many schemes in such families, at least there was a big family who, at times, loved each other and protected each other.

But for her, what did she have?

Even after her rebirth, except for the spiritual pets, her guardian beasts rewarded her to accompany her for a lifetime. She didn’t have parents or a family again.

In other words, she received many rewards and even a lucky physique which gave her money so that she could live the rest of her life as a salted fish, but they forgot to give her parents. Even if they were fake, she was still forgotten.

That was another major reason why when she first met her first husband, John, who was married and with kids, she chose to be a vixen and latched onto him and became his second wife.

She was greedy for his big family and wanted to be part of it. Even if she has children in the future, her children won’t be lonely for they will be older siblings to take care of them.

Instead of having one mother, her children will have two.

Wasn’t that nice?
