As Sir Henrich and the village chief returned to the chief’s house, the messenger they had been waiting for finally came.

When the messenger passed the message, he dashed away, obviously in a hurry to go wherever he was going.

As she waited for the two men to arrive, Mammy Lena came from the outside and informed her that the two men were there.

Upon hearing that, Calista rose to her feet, since it was only normal and respectful if she welcomed the guests on her feet. Of course, if it was just Ba Susan, she would never bother, but the councilor was coming. She could only pretend to be a lady with manners.

Moments later, the two men walked in and Calista walked towards them, a smile on her face.

This was the first that Sir Hendrich was seeing Madam Solace so close and in a very long time.

She was not only tall but very beautiful. No wonder why his wife acted like that back then. She has a face and aura that keeps people on their toes.

With her hair braided, a very strange hairstyle for women in their kingdom, she looked ethereal, and that was packaged with that red and white dress she was wearing. He no longer had anything to say.

His gaze couldn’t help but linger for a bit on her stomach. Despite wearing loose clothes, he could see the slightly bulging belly.

She was indeed pregnant. What a pity that the husband was irresponsible and ran away.

But thank goodness, the marriage was repudiated. She was free and could do anything that she wanted. And that includes helping him to achieve merit and achievements as well.

As for that man, he might as well remain where he is and never return. With how much Madam Solace was loved currently, the child would be raised well.

Who can dare utter nonsense with how sharp-tongued she was?

"Welcome to my humble abode!" with a slight bow, Calista welcomed the guests.

Sir Henrich had no idea what the chief was thinking but was currently in a good mood seeing how Madam Solace still has her manners.

"Thank you for inviting me, Madam Solace. I hope that I didn’t impose on you!" with a smile on his face, Sir Henrich said.

Calista chuckled lightly as she waved her hand. "No, no. You didn’t. As a pregnant lady, nowadays I barely do much. So, hosting you is no big deal!" and replied earnestly.

Currently, there was nothing much for her to do, anyway. Hosting this can be considered a way of entertaining herself as she waited for the injured lady to wake up.

She didn’t know when Diana would return, but until then; she was free to do anything she wanted and that included taking care of her unborn baby with all care in the world.

Sir Hendrich was relieved upon hearing that.

Calista gave the two men a seat before sitting down on a single sofa. Rather than furnishing the house with tables and chairs, something that can be done in the dining room. In living spaces, she wanted to be comfortable sitting in, so she had a sofa placed there.

She has the money, so why not add a bit more comfort?
