Chapter 137: CONTRACTS DONE
Chapter 137: Chapter 137: CONTRACTS DONE
The contract between Calista and the sisters mainly stipulated a few following issues.
The sisters would be in charge of making the jewelry and Calista would be providing the designs. Since she was venturing into this business, then her products needed to be unique and different from the rest.
Only then can she have a piece of the pie in her hands.
The sisters would be paid a monthly salary, bonuses and other employment benefits that she might think of in the future. After all, this issue would concern every permanent employee of hers.
Whenever they make jewelry with their own designs, Calista buys those designs exclusively. And this contract to be on the safe side, Calista made it for five years.
For the next five years, these sisters would be working for her and earning salary from her and other things.
After five years, who knows which level they would have reached?
By that time, they might be fighting to start their own business. And letting people go when there was still time to collaborate in the future was what she wanted.
The sisters didn’t seem to mind five years. After all, in these years, their livelihood would be guaranteed. All they needed to do was make the jewelry and everything else would be taken care of by Calista.
Since the sisters had their own families in their village, they couldn’t come to stay at the dorms or appear every time.
So, in the contracts, Calista mentioned that issue. The ladies were to report to her once every week, bringing a specific amount of jewelry sets, whatever they would have been assigned that week from her.
She also made them sign a confidentiality letter. After all, she couldn’t have them spreading her designs in the future, just because she was lax.
When everything was understood perfectly, the contracts were signed and Calista was at ease having the three stamped contracts with her in hand.
After dealing with that issue, the four of them talked about the capital required to add more tools for the ladies and after a short discussion, money was handed over to the ladies and the transaction was noted down as well.
As for what the ladies were going to use to make the jewelry, Calista didn’t mind starting with the unique stones. After all, it was not an easy task to find any gemstones at the moment.
she was going to walk steadily and not rush anywhere.
With everything taken into account, the three sisters bade Calista goodbye and left happily. Ready to start work and provide for the family.

Days quickly passed, and people could be seen hurrying throughout the village as well as the roads.
Ever since Calista expanded her projects once again, it was a bit noisy, but in a good way.
On this particular day, Calista was at her manor, sitting in the gazebo, in the garden, staring at four sculptures in front of her.
It’s been a few days and yet the man returned with four perfect pieces of art she couldn’t help but marvel at, as she looked at them.
The cats and snakes looked so vivid that she felt as if she was looking at her eldest children. She couldn’t help but look at the man with a smile and jovially praised, "You are truly talented!" clapping her hands in excitement, making the man’s face flush for a moment.
Scratching the back of his head with shyness, the man humbly responded, "Hehe, I am only doing what I know the best. Thank you for liking them!" his heart thumping loudly, from the joy of getting how work recognized.
To get these four in time, he rested a couple of hours a day and he meticulously worked on these works with all the concentration he could muster.
Seeing her appreciating his works like this, he felt as if all the hard work he had put in was worth it.
Calista, looking at the sculptures, felt that it was the right decision to call all talents when she discussed with Ba Susan, otherwise, how could she have found such a talent?
With such pieces of art, Calista wasn’t hesitant anymore and directly told the man that they were going to sign the contract right there.
She had already prepared the contract, and it was nearly similar to that the sisters signed the other day.
Likewise, the man would work for her for five years. He can come up with designs and he would be paid for that. When she has something that needs to be sculptured, the man can do that.
She would provide the resources, and he would do the job. it was as simple as that.
The man didn’t have a family, so if he wanted, he could move into the dorms. And she would also build a workshop for him. There was still land remaining where the factory was built, so adding a few workshops wasn’t a problem.
Of course, she didn’t mind building them somewhere, since other kinds of work require solace and no disturbance.
The man was overjoyed and easily signed the contract.
With this contract signed, Calista felt that getting some rest was a must for her.
At the moment, she was heading into her fifteenth week already, and her belly was starting to show. Thankfully, so far she hadn’t had any problems yet, so life was still livable.
After sending the sculptor away, Calista looked at the four sculptures again and smiled happily.
"Hiss. Hiss. Hiss."
"Meow. Meow. Meow."
And these two sons of hers happen to be near, making it even livelier for her.
Seeing the little snake slithering towards her, Calista’s heart warmed and Whitey wasn’t about to be ignored as well.
The little cat meowed as it circled the two sculptures which looked like him while Blackey did the same as well.
There was no one around, so no one could see the two pets, especially Blackey who still hadn’t debuted to society yet.
After the two looked and admired their images, they came to her.
Calista picked the two and Blackey wrapped itself around her wrist, hiding completely into her sleeves, while Whitey slumped on her lap as it closed its eyes.
The afternoon suddenly became a peaceful one and when Mammy Lena came, she found Calista snoring softly with Whitey on her lap.
Seeing the little kitten, Mammy Lena wanted to tug it and throw it away, but who would have guessed that the little thing wasn’t sleeping?
Suddenly it snapped its eyes open, a suffocating aura descending on her, and those eyes ..... they were narrowed into slits, and it made Mammy Lena stagger behind in fear.
’What kind of demon was this kitty?’ she fled in panic, her heart in turmoil.
Whitey, seeing Mammy Lena leaving, rolled its eyes before snuggling in his mother’s embrace, dozing off once again.
