Chapter 132: Chapter 132: COOPERATION 2
These agents’ makers were good at their jobs and would provide quality products. She didn’t want to go through another lengthy process just because she wanted to save.
There were also the tools needed to have the crafts made at the end of the day. She wanted several sets, as she planned on hiring at least a minimum of ten people for each project. If the project gets bigger, then more people would be required.
There was a risk of tools getting damaged and all that, so having more from the start, was a good choice.
So, a list of anvils, awls, chisels and pricking irons, creasers, folders, cutting boards, deglazers, edge finishers and burnishers, gouges, hand-pressers, knives, leather dies, leather dyes, leather wax, mallets, hammers, mauls, needles, punches, rivet and setters, rulers and work benches.
That was what she gave to Diana. After meeting a few artisans in the leatherwork industry, she learnt quite a lot of things.
As for the embroidery part, she didn’t have to learn much. After all, she was a woman and knew how to sew and embroider, although she was too lazy to hold a needle.
There were frames used when making embroidery, needles, scissors, cutting boards for fabric, measuring tape, threads, and fabrics. The rest can be slowly found if there is more to that.
Following that, she gave the list for sugar processing. Processing mills which are animal powered, pots to boil the juice, barrels for storage, rods for stirring and molds to solidify the solution.
Rather than using beet to make sugar, which seemed complicated after some thought, she was going to stick with sugar cane and sweet reeds. She was going to make sugar from those two at all costs.
As for the food workshop she wanted, she just needed more pots and kitchenware. In the future, she will see if she can make dried foods or canned stuff.
That was the only thing that came to mind that she could do with it.
At least when people aren’t making the sugar, they can play with the food. Thinking like this, Calista once again found herself at a crossroads.
Judging from the new plans she just abruptly made, the sugar and food workshops would need to be separated again.
There was going to be a lot of work in both workshops, so separating them would be more efficient.
She just needed to think of what to use the last factory for. But whatever it was, it should be something that can attract people.
Maybe handicrafts. At least under this banner, she can have those who do weaving, jewelry, and many other things under one roof.
With this decision made during the process of writing the list, Calista this time, simply told Diana to buy anything related to handicrafts and jotted several classes that she was interested in.
As long as she finds someone knowledgeable about the matter in the future, she will have the tools to start right away.
As for the issue of money, Calista didn’t plan on letting Diana do all this for free. So, she generously gave the other a pouch of gold coins later when the discussion was done.
If the money wasn’t enough, then collect more when Diana returns. She wasn’t going to skimp on what she wanted to do.

After getting the instructions from Calista, Ba Susan, who had been anxious about the matter regarding the councilor, the next day woke up pretty early and headed for the town.
He needed to see the man as soon as possible to get the job done. With how Calista was, if she wasn’t happy, she was the kind that would throw everything away. She lived life at her own pace sometimes.
When he arrived, the councilor didn’t make things difficult for him but saw him as soon as he arrived.
With the several hours to be traveled from Crop Village to Silverbroke town, by the time Ba Susan arrived, it was eight or nine in the morning. He left the village around three in the morning. This way he could arrive early and return early as well.
When the councilor saw him, he was happy. After all, there was no way that Ba Susan would just come and see him without any good news.
Surely after Ba Susan told him about Calista’s plans, the man was so overjoyed that he immediately called the official in charge of the registry of marriages and divorces.
Something that would have taken ages to be completed, got finished so quickly that when Ba Susan was returning to the village that afternoon, everything still felt like a dream.
Since when did things become easier like this?
Surely having capital was different. If Calista was an ordinary woman, this wouldn’t have happened.
She might have been labeled with so many names by now. If she isn’t strong, she might end up hitting her head on a pillar with shame just so she could die.
Later that evening, before dusk, Ba Susan dropped by Calista’s manor and found the other busy discussing something with her city folks’ friends.
Upon seeing him, however, she chased away Diana and others, giving Ba Susan free space to say whatever he wanted.
Calista didn’t hold too much hope for the annulment at this moment. Those prideful men in the offices wouldn’t agree to let such a thing happen easily.
But she was patient. One way or the other, they were going to give her what she wanted. If they don’t, then she is going to hold so much from them and make them regret it. Wasn’t she spending money and improving the villagers’ lives right now?
Ever since she opened the clinic, how many people received medicine from it?
They weren’t just from Cropville village, but neighboring ones as well. And the medicine costs were simply too low than what they would be charged if they visited the towns or cities.
She had given people work and many other things. Where else would they see people like her?
Fortunately, Ba Susan came with good news.
When Calista saw the annulment letter, she was so happy that she wanted to dance around that second.
But recalling the child in her belly, she kept her happiness to the bare minimum and thanked Ba Susan profusely before sending him away.
