Chapter 110: Chapter 110: LADY GARTH

The guests started chatting amongst themselves, while the two friends who hadn’t seen each other in ages hugged each other for a while before separating.

"You look radiate my friend. What have you been up to since we separated?" checking Calista up and down, Leeshay couldn’t help but wonder.

Calista, hearing that, broke into a peal of laughter, finding Leeshay’s skin to be thicker than it was before. Who asks someone something like that in public?

However, she liked it. To her, it simply showed that her dear friend didn’t mind her actions and, above all, she didn’t mind being seen by others acting like that as well.

What would be uncomfortable is having a friend who didn’t feel comfortable around you. Now that was mean?

Feeling a bit too playful, Calista decided to tease her dear friend. "Hehe, I got married, and it’s been a rollercoaster!" shamelessly revealing that in public.

Surely upon saying that, all eyes were suddenly on the two standing ladies and Mammy Lena felt like burying herself.

’How could she say something like this outside?’ just how thick-skinned was her Miss?

On the other hand, Leeshay simply burst into a hearty laughter, her eyes squinting with a knowing glint before saying teasingly as she pulled Calista to the table.

"Hehe, no wonder why you are glowing like that. So, tell your friend how it is to be married again?" amusement and love of gossip in her eyes.

When that question was posed, those nearby couldn’t help but straighten their ears to listen to the answer as well.

Narrowing her eyes into slits, Calista, feeling more energetic to cause chaos, responded fanning herself as if she was feeling too hot.

"It’s pretty good. I regretted not getting remarried earlier. Tsk. Tsk. I was missing out!" she clicked her tongue regretfully as she recalled how wonderful her honeymoon period was.

Although Orson ran away from her, she truly enjoyed those days when they were together.

Leeshay, hearing that and seeing that satisfied look in Calista’s eyes, knew automatically that Calista was truly up to no good. But who made her this lunatic friend?

"Hehe, I told you before that you are still young and should remarry. But what were you saying?

"That’s why I am saying that I regret not remarrying again. Anyway, it’s good that I did. So, tell me, friend, how have you been all these months?"

Leaning against her chair, Leeshay’s eyes twinkled. "Hehe, everything has been good. As you can see, business is doing great and those rascals at home are growing up well. What more can I ask for?"

"Indeed, when everything is in order, we don’t dare ask for much!"

"That’s true. So how long will you be staying this time?" curious about Calista’s stay, Leeshay asked.

Hearing that question, Calista pondered for a bit before sighing dejectedly, responding, "I am not certain. I guess after I get everything that I want, then I will return."

A glint of happiness flashed in Leeshay’s eyes when she heard that. "That’s good then. You just tell me what you need, and I will help you find it. So, where are you staying?"

"At the inn."

"At the inn? That can’t be done. Get up. This time you must stay with me. It’s been ages since we spent quality time together!" Leeshay suddenly said, slamming the table as she stood up, her gaze fixated on Calista.

Calista cast a helpless gaze at Leeshay, but the other wasn’t budging.

"We are bosom friends. How can you spend money when you are in the city? Come on, let’s go and pack up. Let me pamper you this time!" Leeshay said determinately, grinning from ear to ear, seeing how helpless Calista was with her sudden attack.

Calista, seeing how serious Leeshay was, thought for a moment before she rose to her feet as well.

She might as well have some silver coins. Besides, staying with Leeshay would solve the majority of her problems. After all, Leeshay’s husband had connections in the slave market. She wanted to buy a few people.

It would be easier for her to get everything she wanted with one move. So, no need to reject Leeshay’s goodwill.

"Fine. let’s go and pack up. We have a lot to talk about!" Calista acquiesced as she closed the fan while taking a step forward.

Leeshay’s eyes brightened, seeing that she had managed to win effortlessly this time without putting in much effort. It wasn’t easy to convince or persuade Calista at times. She can be as stubborn as a mule at times.

Mammy Lena didn’t say a single thing and followed her Miss while keeping an eye out for any danger. As she does so, she ignores Leeshay, who is looking at her curiously. After all; it was the first time that they were meeting.

The carriage outside was big and luxurious and seeing it, Mammy Lena nodded satisfactorily, liking Leeshay a bit more. The more luxurious the carriage was, the more comfort it would provide for her pregnant Miss.

She didn’t want to see her Miss eating any loss now that she was carrying a baby.

Calista was satisfied with the carriage as well. Seeing it, she couldn’t help but think of another issue. She wanted a carriage, and it would be great if she found something comfortable that could provide her with ease of travel whenever she gets on the road.

After boarding the carriage, the two friends started yapping happily.

"Dear, who is this lady?" after a while, Leeshay finally asked Calista.

Although it was just the two of them in the carriage, Calista knew who Leeshay was talking about.

"That’s my nanny, Mammy Lena. She is here to take care of me!" she responded with a smile.

Leeshay, upon hearing that, sized Calista several times. "You are a grown-up woman and all these years you have been taking good care of yourself. So, what needs taking care of right now?" she asked, feeling a bit skeptical.

Something smells fishy and Leeshay could sense it.
