Chapter 83: Mr Bennet Pons
Prince responded with a slight smile.
"J’ira bien."
Ava was the only one he’d ever show emotions to. He was indifferent to the rest, including Draven himself. Not that Draven cared.
Prince exited the mansion and moved to make his way to the location where he had been assigned.
His job was to follow the stalker and jot down his conversation with Ryan.
Loui had managed to put a tracker on the stalker, therefore, this made it easy for him to locate him.
With a deep breath exiting his nose, Prince took all his clothing off, leaving him completely naked and invisible to the eye.
He couldn’t wear any clothing because if he did, not only would he be seen as the clothing wouldn’t become invisible with him, but he’d always get weird looks from people as well, even though it’s an ability.
With one look at the phone, he identified the stalker’s location and left to meet up with him.
Prince slowed down as soon as he arrived at the location.
On the outskirts of this location, hidden among the overgrown foliage and shrouded in an eerie mist, stood an old deserted house. This old house was very much for secret meetings and the like. Criminals even tend to carry out their deeds there on a daily basis.
Prince advanced towards the door. He grabbed the handle to open the door, but at the sound of someone’s muffled, pained voice, he halted.
He shifted closer and listened in to know what was going on. Someone was getting beaten up. Who was it? Could it be the stalker? But who would be beating him up?
No longer willing to go in through the front door, Prince hurried over to the side. He pushed over a heavy stone, climbed atop it, and looked into the shed through the window.
He could immediately see a tall, muscular man with permed, neck-length black hair and brown eyes. This man was none other than Ryan. He was furiously releasing his anger at the stalker. But why? Was it because the stalker couldn’t get a hold of Loui?
"You are so useless! Utterly useless! You couldn’t even get a hold of that scrawny man. You had one job! One freaking job!" Ryan viciously kicked the stalker, who was already curled up on the floor.
The stalker could have retaliated, but he knew his head would roll if he dared do so. Royal bloods were stronger than common bloods, so he needn’t be told that Ryan would end his life if he dared behave discourteously.
"Your Highness, please forgive me. His strength was not of his stature. I misjudged him," he pleaded.
"Who cares?" Ryan was infuriated. "All I needed you to do was bring him here!"
His shoulder was rising and falling in annoyance. He rubbed his temple and snapped his finger at the stalker.
"Get up from there!"
The stalker, without hesitation, immediately rose to his feet. His alabaster skin was bruised especially his face.
"Did you get even a tiny clue? It doesn’t have to be much." Ryan glanced at him.
The stalker shook his head as he replied in a deep voice, "No, your Highness."
"But I do know something that can be done," he added.
Ryan’s interest was instantly piqued. He folded his arms and furrowed his brows at the stalker.
"And what might that be?" he questioned, expecting something good from him.
The stalker shifted closer to him. He glanced from left to right and proceeded to say it in a barely discernible tone.
"I know a man. He is a great private investigator, and I am more than sure that he will be able to figure out who the culprit is. He has never failed to do any job given to him. Maybe you should—"
"A private investigator? What is his name?" Ryan inquired. Who was this investigator that he had never heard of?
The stalker replied, "Mr. Bennet Pons. That is his name, your highness."
"Bennet...Pons..." Ryan tilted his head to his side as he repeated the name. The name felt familiar. He could tell that he had heard it somewhere before, but he just couldn’t seem to remember.
"Bring him to me. I would like to meet him. If he is capable, he will get the job."
"Yes, your highness." The stalker was smiling widely. "Shall I take my leave now?"
Ryan waved his hand at him with a look of disdain in his eyes. "Yes, get out."
The stalker slightly bowed to him and rushed out of the shed. Prince watched him leave, and as soon as he was gone, he jumped down from the stone.
"Bennet Pons? Qui est-ce?" he muttered to himself. Regardless of how hard he pondered, he could not figure out who Bennet Pons was. But he could tell that this man was going to be no good at all.
No longer willing to hesitate any longer, Prince left the area to return to this location. He slipped into his clothing, buttoned it up, and ruffled his white locs to scatter them back into place.
He looked at his wristwatch and dialed Loui’s number.
[Prince, are you okay? Is everything okay? Are you safe?]
"Qui," Prince replied.
[Oh, lord, that’s good. You should be returning]
"Loui...quelque chose ne va pas," Prince said, interrupting him.
[Huh? What do you mean by something being wrong?]
"Suis pas très sûr." Prince’s voice was tinged with worry.
[You are not sure? Well, can you explain over the phone?]
"Non." Prince shook his head.
[I see. Well, return home first. We will all discuss it, and then you can give us an explanation]
"Okay." Prince nodded and hung up the phone.
He stuffed it into the pocket of his pants and left to return home.

Olive paced back and forth in his room.
His body language showed he was worried about someone in particular. He hasn’t been at ease since he heard those words from Pierre. He knows Pierre a bit too well to be aware that he was not at all joking, not even one bit.
