A Game Of Chess With A Vampire -
Chapter 81: I’m All Yours
Chapter 81: I’m All Yours
Draven affirmed, "It is."
"It would not have been if not for the interference of someone."
Loui frowned. "Who?"
"Valentine. He is not someone to overlook because you are his current target," Draven clarified.
"Huh? But why?" Avelina inquired.
Draven looked at her.
"I have never had visitors, Avelina, this is the first time. Of course, he would want to know. The bombing may not be his business, but he’d love to get to the bottom of it, which is why...we have to play carefully."
Loui nodded. "You are right. However, how do we do this?"
Draven narrowed his eyes and leaned in a bit to break down his plan for them.
This went on for almost thirty minutes before he leaned back in his chair.
Both Loui and Avelina’s jaws dropped in shock.
"AMAZING!" Avelina was beyond impressed. "This plan will most definitely work, as long as Valentine’s interference can be avoided."
"Yes, and that is why you..." Draven looked at Loui. "...have to be very careful."
"You can count on me, Don." Loui smiled. "The identity I am impersonating is a human."
Draven nodded. "That is the best part of all these. I didn’t ask you to impersonate a human for nothing. This will be the root of all confusion."
By the side, Avelina was staring at Draven. This man...felt so...unreal.
Loui stood up to his feet. "I shall take my leave now, Don."
Draven nodded at him.
"Be careful. Make sure to be extra dramatic. That will surely leave Ryan to come to his final decision: You are the culprit."
With a soft smile, Loui turned on his umbrella. "Au revoir, my lady."
"Goodbye..." Avelina slightly waved at him.
Loui stepped out of the pavilion and strolled over to Santino.
Draven exhaled and shifted his attention to Avelina.
"Draven, are you a hundred percent sure this will work?" Avelina inquired. She was a bit worried.
Draven took a moment before responding. "I am not hundred percent sure, but there is an eighty percent chance it will work. It is honestly all up to Loui. It depends on how he plays this game."
"But don’t worry, Loui is not at all reckless. I trust him."
"I see." Avelina gave a nod.

As Loui left the mansion with Santino, Ryan pulled his phone out of the pocket of his pants.
He dialed an unknown number. The callee answered.
[Your Highness]
"He is out. Follow him. If possible, get a hold of him and bring him to me. Something tells me he is the culprit," Ryan assigned.
[Yes, your highness]
Ryan hung up the phone with a deep scowl on his face.
I will catch you soon, brother, and I will make sure you are erased from the face of this earth. Two can play this game! As he spoke inwardly, he smirked.
...
Loui was outside the royal mansion.
He had walked out the gate, but he wasn’t moving toward his car, which was just a bit away. He seemed to be waiting for someone.
"I wonder how long he will take." He was referring to whoever it was that would be sent after him.
He side-grinned and began to walk off in the opposite direction. If he were, to be honest with himself, he would have wished that this would be happening at night. This way, he wouldn’t be afraid of the sun hurting him.
He sighed and continued proceeding down the road while holding onto his umbrella.
Shortly after he had those thoughts, he began to pick up on some muffled footsteps behind him. His eyes immediately contracted, and he came to a stop.
This was enough to inform him that he was definitely being followed. If it were just a random individual, they would have kept walking even after he stopped, but whoever it was, ceased walking the moment he did.
Loui sneered.
The phone in his pocket suddenly rang.
"Pierre," he said, a bit surprised.
[I’m sure Don must have explained everything to you. The masked man following behind you is the target. I am watching him]
"I see. Don’t do anything. Leave him to me." Loui smiled.
[Alright]
Loui hung up and shoved the phone into the pocket of his pants.
He took a step forward, and the stalker did the same. Quite irritated by it, Loui stopped. As though it were intuitive, he abruptly spun around, kicking off the knife that was thrown at him.
He lifted his eyes, and his gaze met that of a man clad in all black with a mask covering his face.
"Did you have fun following me?" Loui questioned.
He could tell that the masked man smirked.
"You walk slowly. I didn’t," the stalker responded.
"Then you must have had fun stalking me, yeah?" Loui beamed at him.
The stalker shrugged. "I guess I did."
"What do you want?" Loui inquired.
The stalker responded, "You."
"Huh? Me?" Loui was amused as he pointed at himself.
"Indeed. Unfortunately, I have to bring you with me, if not, I won’t get paid," the stalker said.
"Hmmm." Loui stroked his jaw. "And what if I refuse to go with you?"
"Then I will have to take you by force," the stalker replied.
"Hoho, is that so? I see, I see." Loui nodded his head. "Why don’t you come to me then? I’m all yours."
The stalker frowned behind the mask he wore, but having no time to waste, he lunged at Loui, charging in for a fatal attack. He had no intention to waste too much time on Loui. He intended to bring him down with the first hit.
The person that Loui was impersonating looked too weak in the eyes, so he believed Loui was weak.
Loui chuckled softly. Without hesitation, he charged at the stalker as well, and they collided with bone-crushing force.
Considering he loved fighting with his legs, Loui was countering the stalker’s attack with just his legs, no hands included. His body was too flexible, it felt like nothing for him to move. Maybe impersonating this random human wasn’t such a bad thing. Was he a ballerina or something? Why was the body so freaking flexible? A dancer perhaps?
