Chapter 410: What A Vile Old Man!
The unknown man stood up, making his way straight to Draven, who stood still. He grabbed onto his shoulders, whispering into his ears, "Go on, son. Kill him."
"He has ruined your whole life. It’s time for you to get your revenge, and perhaps after you do, you might just come with me to where you truly belong. I’ll try to be the type of father you’ve always wanted—the sort of father he couldn’t be to you. Kill him," his lips stretched into a smile.
Draven stared at Old Master Lenort and reached over his hand, grabbing the man.
"You. Are. Not. My. Father!" He scowled at him.
The unknown man, known as Lucifer, the king of the underworld, burst into laughter, utterly amused.
"Your appearance right now is not enough to make you believe so, is that it?" He pointed at Draven’s body but widened his eyes in the next moment. "Oh, you can’t see. Pardon."
"Well, you see. Whether you believe it or not, you are my son, and I am your father. I did send you into the earth to be born after all. He is just a substitute, I suppose." He pointed at Old Master Lenort.
Draven lowered his head. "You were behind everything that has been happening to me, weren’t you?"
"Correct! It’s a sort of training, I suppose. I wanted you to be tough, and you turned out just fine. Although I’m not very sure you can still survive, That is why you have to kill him before you die. Take your revenge and don’t perish in vain." Lucifer urged. "Look at your precious wife, the only woman who loved you for you. See what he did to her? He killed her, and now you are all alone, once again."
"Your companions are all going to die, and if you don’t—"
Before his words could be completed, Draven moved in the blink of an eye, appearing before Old Master Lenort, but before he could finish him off, Old Master Lenort lifted his hand, using his ability to stop time. His eyes were dilated, utterly frightened to the bones.
"Stay away from me!! Stay away!!! Don’t come close to me!! Stay away!!!"
Hearing him scream like that, Lumian, who had gotten Aurora out of the royal mansion to run away, rushed into the hall but was caught up in the mess, thus going still as well. This included Lilianna, Lestat’s wife.
However, Old Master Lenort was met with horror when Draven broke past his ability, snatching him by the throat. Before he could even utter a word, he was thrown across the hall, slamming heavily against the concrete wall.
With a loud thud, he plummeted to the ground, his head starting to bleed.
Lucifer, who was watching, smiled heavily, a satisfaction spreading across his face. "Yes, son, kill him. Get your revenge that you’ve been waiting for so long. You suffered a lot. He completely deserves it. Don’t show him any—"
"Lestat!" Lilianna screamed. "Lestat!" She immediately turned to Lucifer, who was now staring at him.
"Will you keep quiet?!" Lucifer glared at her.
But Lilianna, who didn’t know who he was, stormed towards him, grabbing him by the collar of his clothing. "It was you, wasn’t it?! You killed my husband! You killed—"
Lucifer caught her by the head, bursting and killing her in an instant before she could finish her words.
"Pest!" He clicked his tongue and wiped off the blood on his hand, absolutely ticked off.
Lumian, who was glued to his spot, was trembling in absolute horror. How had things escalated to this point in a matter of a few hours? If their father hadn’t reacted, the mansion would have been at peace, right?
"You coward!"
He heard Lucifer burst into laughter. "I would have killed you too, but it’d be a waste of my time. I couldn’t waste even a breath of mine on a wimp like you."
"SCRAM!" Lucifer thundered.
As if his body were controlling itself, Lumian took a step back, and in the blink of an eye, he was gone, never to be seen again. No one could tell if he’d run to his wife, who managed to escape the whole ordeal, or if he ran off somewhere else.
The last thing that was heard from Old Master Lenort was a bone-chilling scream before everything went to sh*t. Lucifer quickly turned around to see that Draven had punctured the old man’s stomach, brutally killing him the same way he did Prince.
The old man coughed, spurting out a mouthful of blood. Draven grabbed his head, smashing it into the wall. With his claws, he fished the job by slitting his head off and watched as it rolled off to the floor.
Draven took deep breaths and stepped back, pulling his bloody hand out. The old man’s lifeless body plummeted to the ground with a loud thud, his blood heavily tainting the floor.
CLAP! CALP! CLAP!
Lucifer began to clap, absolutely proud.
"There, you did a good job. Now all that is left is for you to come with—"
Draven reached for his mouth, blood beginning to drip from his nose. He coughed frantically and spurted out blood after blood. His body weakened at a rapid pace, and he dropped to his knees.
Lucifer, who was confused, watched as his horn disappeared as well as his claws. "What is going on with you?"
He hurried to Draven and touched him. At the sudden realization of what the issue was, he widened his eyes.
"What a vile old man! It seems he poisoned you ahead of time as if he knew something like this might just occur." He burst into laughter, throwing his hand over his face.
Indeed, he was right. While Draven was unconscious, Old Master Lenort had given him an antidote to the other poison Loui fed him, but injected him with a new kind that would spread slowly and kill him a bit later. This was so they could be able to punish him.
Lucifer watched Draven drop to the floor, flat on his back. His breathing was heavy and slow. He was soon going to draw his last breath, and this could not help but upset him.
