Chapter 293: A Date?!
Valentine let out a soft breath and shook his head. "Thank you for your apology. I’m really glad you owned up to it. Do not worry, I have forgiven you, Olive."
"But..." he paused. "... I don’t want us to be friends anymore. I do not want—"
Olive abruptly wrapped his arms around him, pulling him into a friendly hug. "We are friends, okay? I’ll surely make it up to you, and no, I will never hurt you anymore, I really promise."
"It was not intentional. I would never hurt you intentionally, as I have no reason to do so."
Valentine slowly blinked his eyes, surprised by the sudden hug. He let out a soft breath and pulled away from him.
"Okay...I really forgive you."
Olive furrowed his brows. "Really? Or...are you perhaps still mad?"
"No, I am not." Valentine shrugged.
A soft smile gradually emerged on Olive’s face, and he patted Valentine on the shoulder.
"Well, that settles it. If I fuck up next time, I will let you be, but since this is my first, I’d apologize and have my friend back. Although...I do not think there will be a next time, I will keep an eye on my behavior." He lightly smiled.
Valentine slapped his hand away, cackling inwardly to himself. He stuffed his hands into the pocket of his pants and began to exit the yard to meet Loui and the others who were waiting outside for them.

Before the door of his room, Draven, who had arrived back, stood with a shopping bag in his left hand. He was not opening the door, but neither was he walking away.
Santino, who was standing by the side, could not help but glance at him with the edge of his eyes.
"Young master...may I ask why you are standing at the door?"
Draven looked at him. He responded, "Well, I’m trying to muster up this thing called courage. I do not understand why I am nervous, really! I have never felt nervous or anxious before, but for reasons I cannot comprehend, here I am feeling anxious and too nervous to go in there."
Santino secretly smiled. "Young master, is it okay for me to ask what you want to do once you go in there?"
Draven nodded.
"Of course! I just want to ask her to go on a date with me and—"
"A date?" Santino was surprised.
Draven crinkled his brows. "Is something wrong?"
"No, not at all!" Santino shook his head at him.
"Young master, there is no reason for you to feel nervous. You just have to go in there and ask her out. You can go about it any way you desire, so long as it is the most comfortable for you. She is your wife after all."
Draven tipped his head to his side. "Is that so?"
Santino nodded. "Yes." He smiled ever so lightly, his eyes suddenly sparkling.
Draven took a deep breath and grabbed the knob. He opened the door, stepped inside, and shut it behind him.
It was currently six p.m. in the evening.
There in the bed, Avelina lay with her legs crossed and the book in her grip raised into the air. Her pupils were moving from left to right as she read.
Again, Draven drew a deep breath. He stepped toward the bed and walked over to stand beside her. He squatted down, so he was close to her, and he playfully poked her cheek with his finger.
"Avelina."
Avelina blinked and averted her gaze from the book. She looked at him, a wide smile slowly emerging on her face.
"Draven?"
Draven beamed at her and instinctively began to caress her hair, feeling himself getting even more and more nervous.
Avelina noticed that something was not quite right. So she crumpled her brows at him, curious. "Draven, is something wrong? Do you want to say something?"
Draven gave a nod. "I do."
"Then...tell me." Avelina smiled.
"Okay..." Draven began to scratch the back of his neck. He took a deep breath and lifted his scarlet pupils to look into her pearl-like eyes. Hesitantly, he asked, "Would you...like to go...on a date with me?"
The book in Avelina’s hand slowly slipped, falling to the floor. She stared at Draven in a sudden daze, trying to process his proposal, and when it seemed like she had done so, her eyes widened, and she sprang up on the bed in a standing position.
"Go on a date with you?!" she exclaimed.
Draven stood up to his feet and nodded at her with a confused smile on his face. He was hoping she wouldn’t say no because she was still mad at him, otherwise, all the preparation would be for nothing.
"Yes," he replied.
Avelina drew in a long, deep, excited breath, her eyes sparkling like crystals. "O-of course!" She furiously nodded her head, her smile getting wider and wider.
This would be her first actual date. No one had taken her on a date before, and it was something she had always wanted to experience. All her sisters had been on countless dates except her.
Draven flickered his eyes, beaming. He inwardly took a relieved breath. For a moment there, he’d thought she would reject his proposal.
He lifted his hand, handing the bag over to her. "Take."
Avelina looked at the bag and glanced at him. "What...is this?"
Draven responded, "I got you a dress. I’m not sure you will like it, but it was the prettiest to me, and I thought it would look really lovely on you."
"Oh..." Avelina took the bag from him and sat down on the bed. She grabbed the box inside and opened it to see what kind of dress was in it.
Beautiful? Yes, it was! It was beyond gorgeous, and it sparkled ever so gently under the bright light of the chandelier.
She had expected it to be a red dress when he spoke of it because she was aware that Draven knew that red dresses fitted her the most. But the dress in that box was of a different color. It was of a golden design with expensive, gorgeous adornments!
