Chapter 280: He Has Fallen in love with Her!

Before the sprawling villa, Draven stood. He locked his car, threw the key into the pocket of his coat, and began to approach the mansion.

He walked in and strolled straight to the living room at the meeting table, where he met Ava seated, immersed in the book she was reading. He took a seat, crossing his legs and folding his arms.

"Can you call the others?" he asked.

As soon as his voice resounded in Ava’s ears, she immediately raised her head and looked at him. "Don!" she exclaimed, springing up from the chair. "When did you come?"

"Just now." Draven shrugged. "Call everyone, there is something that I want to discuss."

Ava frantically nodded and hurried off. She called the others who were resting due to the stress of having been at the ceremony. But regardless, they answered Draven, making their way downstairs to the meeting table. They took their respective seats.

The first to speak was Loui. "Don, everything worked out."

"Indeed, it did." Draven nodded.

Loui asked, "What is the next thing we do?"

Draven shrugged. "Nothing. We just sit and watch."

Loui glanced at everyone else, who stared back at him in confusion. "Just sit back and watch? Don’t we...have a next plan or something?"

"No. Not that there is one now. I have gotten what I wanted for now, so we just sit back and watch what happens next," Draven responded.

This left everyone smiling awkwardly.

Draven let out a soft breath. "This is not why I am here. I have a task for you guys."

"Which is?" Loui inquired.

"I need you all to help me set up a date!" Draven replied.

For a moment, there was utter silence, with them staring him dead in the eyes. They flickered their pupils and glanced at each other, deep in confusion.

Draven, who was lost in perplexity, looked at each one of them, not understanding the cause of their bizarre behavior. He asked, "What’s wrong?"

Loui scratched the back of his neck. "Don, we are not sure we heard you right. Do you mean date as in date... romantic date? You know, where you take a lady out and have a nice just ’you two’ time?"

Draven hesitantly nodded. "Yes...I believe so. Is there a problem?"

"No." Loui shook his head. "It’s just...we are wondering who it is that you are taking on a date."

Draven answered, "Avelina. Why?"

Once again, they all glanced at each other.

"Don, you do know what a date is, right?" Ava asked.

Draven gave a nod. "I do." Valentine did explain it to him.

"Give us a moment." Loui excused himself as well as the others. They hurried off a bit away from Draven and began to murmur to each other. Draven could only stare, curious and bewildered.

"Did Don seriously just ask us to plan a date for him?" Lucien questioned, whispering.

Pierre nodded his head. "Seems so. He appears to be aware of what a date is as well, so I am not sure of what is going on."

"Isn’t it obvious?" Olive raised his brows at them.

Prince furrowed an eyebrow. "Quoi?"

Olive let out a soft breath, ready to enlighten them.

"If Don is willing to take Lady Avelina out on a date—something he has never done before for any woman, then it simply means one thing."

"What?" Loui asked.

Olive shrugged. "He has fallen in love with her."

Everywhere was instantly enveloped in silence. They gazed at Olive and abruptly blinked their eyes.

"That is impossible." They shook their heads.

Olive arched his brow. "Impossible? Are you all dumb? You take a woman you love on a date, that is a romantic thing to do."

"Don has never done this sort of thing before—he is not even romantic, and you think he is not in love with her?"

Realizing that his words made lots of sense, they nodded. Loui slowly smiled before chuckling.

"I was right after all," he whispered. "I did say back then, that he would fall in love with her."

He smirked. "Call me a seer because I did see it coming."

Olive, who was beside him, slapped his head, glaring at him. "Listen, since we are aware of what is going on, we have to be very careful with the planning of this date. We must make sure nothing goes wrong. Don’s happiness is on the line."

Everyone nodded their heads, agreeing with him.

They turned around, returning to the table to sit down. They began to gaze at Draven, who darted his eyes around, not sure why they were looking at him so intently.

"Where do you want us to plan this date?" Olive queried.

"My newest estate on private land," Draven gave a response.

Olive scrunched his face a bit as though in thought, before suddenly smiling. "Oh," he began to nod his head.

"Perfect place for a date."

"Well, you do not need to worry, Don. We will make sure it is a success." Loui smiled.

Draven appreciated, "Thank you."

"Hmm, there is someone who will be lending a helping hand. He is well versed in this."

"Who?" Lucien inquired.

Draven replied, "My younger brother, Valentine. You will be working with him to plan the date."

Everyone instantly went still, most especially Olive.

"What?" they questioned.

"Yes." Draven nodded. "Is there a problem?"

They blinked their eyes and reluctantly shook their heads. "Not at all, Don. We will be waiting for him." Pierre beamed.

Draven nodded in acknowledgment. "That is settled, then. I shall be taking my leave now." He stood up and began to exit the villa.

They gazed at him, and as soon as he was out of sight, they all glanced at each other in bafflement.

"Why Valentine?" Loui queried.

Lucien shrugged, clueless. "I wish I knew."

Olive let out a subtle breath and stood up from the chair. She shoved his hands into the pocket of his pants and left the room to make his way upstairs.

Everyone could tell that he was not okay with it, but they had nothing to say. It was Don’s decision after all.
