Chapter 250: His Blood Is Not Even Worth Consuming!
Olive gave a nod.
"Indeed." He grabbed Avelina’s photo out of his pocket and showed it to Mr. Marcel. "This lady was our friend, and she has been missing for a year now. We heard that she was to be married to you, so we thought it would be good to come and ask a few questions."
They could immediately see Mr. Marcel’s face begin to scrunch in a very irritating and ugly manner.
"That b*tch! That whore!" he cursed, suddenly seeming infuriated. "You are here to ask me about her?" He burst into laughter.
"That good-for-nothing woman got what she deserved. She nearly killed me and ran away, thinking she would be alright. Hahahahahaha." He laughed heartily. "Well, sorry, gentlemen, I have no idea of her whereabouts or anything about her. It will be nice if you can take your leave now, please."
"Go! Shoo!"
Olive and Loui were left speechless by this man’s horrible behavior, but then again, they could not stay in a house where they were not invited, so they proceeded to leave.
All they needed was to see his actions when they mentioned Avelina, and luckily, he behaved much worse than they expected. This alone proved he was indeed the man they wanted to marry Avelina off to.
"Oh, and before you go, I’d like to give you a piece of advice." Mr. Marcel spoke, causing them to come to a halt. "It’d be better if you did not go looking for that woman. She was an unfaithful, horrible person who was more than willing to murder someone to whom she was to be married off to. How horrible, right?"
"And she had the audacity to run. Do you know how bad her reputation is in this town? How awfully she had tainted her family’s name after what she had done. Hmph." He scoffed. "I hope she’s dead, because if not, I will find her, and I will pay her back for nearly killing me and leaving me in the hospital for so long. Do you know how much I spent on the engagement ceremony? A lot! And it all went to waste!"
"I suggest you stop looking for her too, if you do not want trouble."
Olive’s eyes twitched furiously. Who was this man speaking of in such a manner? Their lady, Avelina? Their Don’s precious wife?
If only they weren’t undercover, he would have slit this man’s throat before he could even speak more than five ill words of their lady.
Loui seemed to think the same as well, but powerless, they could only curse inwardly and leave quietly.
"That asshole! I would have snapped his neck, had it not been that we were on a mission," Olive grumbled, angered. "Opening his filthy mouth to insult our Lady! I would gladly kill him and feed him to the wolves. His blood is not even worth consuming!"
His face was awfully crumpled in disgust.
Loui, who was staring at him, cackled softly. "There there, Olive. I feel just as annoyed as you do. Our lady is too precious and shines like an angel for him to call her such obscene names. But we mustn’t lose our temper."
"Who knows, we might get the chance to shove those words down his throat, haha. For now, let’s allow it to be."
Olive agreed with him. "You are right. Let’s go back to the hotel first. I’m not in a good mood," he said.
Loui nodded at him. "Me neither." They flagged down a taxi and left to return to their hotel. Tomorrow, they will depart to return to their home.

The night was cold, and the sky was pitch black with the moon barely in sight. Draven sat in the pavilion alone.
In his hand was a glass of fine, fresh blood. He was staring instantly at the dark sky, stoic and emotionless as usual.
At the gate of the pavilion, Santino stood, able to glimpse his young master all the way from there. His young master had been at the pavilion for over two hours now. He has refused to go in, nor has he spoken to Lady Avelina.
He had pondered over and over again, trying to figure out what it was that was going on between them. How did they even get to such a point? Weren’t they happy? Why have they suddenly ghosted each other and become so distant?
Lady Avelina was not speaking to him, and neither was he speaking to her. He felt like he was watching two children fight or something like that.
A deep breath fled from him, and he turned to straighten up, but the sudden ring of his phone had him promptly searching his pocket. He answered.
"Bonjour."
[Bonjour. Am I on the phone with his highness’s butler?] The female voice from the other side of the phone asked
Santino replied, "Yes, you are. May I know how you are?"
[This is a call from the delivery woman. I’m here to deliver a package that he ordered three days ago]
"Three...huh? From which company?" Santino frowned.
[Rose company. We are currently at the royal gate. Please pick it]
Santino reluctantly hung up the call. He glanced at Draven and thought of inquiring about the order but changing his mind, he decided to go ahead and get the packages first.
He arrived at the gate and looked at the royal guards, who stood in a straight position with their hands formally behind their backs.
"Open the gate," Santino requested.
Although reluctant, they eventually opened the gate. Anything concerning the third prince, they needed to be very careful and vigilant.
Satino glared at them and stepped out of the gate. He looked from his left and glanced to his right to see a lady clad in a very fine-fitting suit and gloves. Her fiery red hair was banded into a ponytail, leaving it to bounce when she walked.
"Bonjour." The lady bowed at the sight of him. "You must be the butler."
Santino responded with a polite bow, "Bonjour. I assume you are the delivery woman."
