Chapter 206: Don’t You Feel A Bit Worried?
Ryan pulled back from the hug to gaze at her.
"Alright, relax. You will just get the same treatment. Your maids can buy you the same cure, okay?" He was trying his best to calm her down.
Natasha reluctantly nodded. She was not willing to look at herself in the mirror.
Ryan looked at the door and called for Laila.
"Your Highness." Laila was swallowing inwardly. For some unknown reason, she always appeared afraid around these people.
"Get the treatment," Ryan ordered.
Laila nodded and turned around, exiting the room. Ryan caressed Natasha’s hair and took a deep breath.
"Wait here for me, okay? I’ll be back." He tried to stand up, but Natasha grabbed him by the hem of his shirt.
She asked, "Where are you going? Please stay with me."
Ryan smiled at her.
"I will be back. Father and the others are outside. They are worried, so I must explain to them what the problem is."
Natasha was reluctant, but she eventually let go of his clothing. Ryan left the room to meet Old Master Lenort, who stood in the middle of Lumian and Lestat.
Old Master Lenort had a deep frown on his face. "What is going on? Why did your wife scream?"
Ryan slightly bowed to him. He straightened up and proceeded to explain, "She has a rash. The same as the one from last year. You must not worry, father. She is alright. I have asked for the cure to be brought, so she will be just fine by tomorrow night."
Old Master Lenort pinched between his brows, seeming annoyed.
"Was that why she screamed? Your wife should learn to keep it down and not leave everyone panicking." He scoffed and turned around, leaving.
Lumian half-smiled at Ryan.
"I hope she gets better." He tapped him on the shoulder and left as well.
Lestat did the same and walked away.
Ryan took a deep breath and turned around to return to the room and meet his wife. The cure had already been brought and kept on the mini table in front of Natasha.
She was staring at the small bowl of liquid orange medicine with an ugly expression. "Ryan, this tastes horrible."
Ryan cackled.
"I know it does, but you have to take it." He sat down opposite her and grabbed the bowl. He scooped up a spoonful and brought it close to her lips. "Here, take it."
But Natasha was not opening her mouth. As soon as the smell hit her nose, the urge to puke overwhelmed her.
"Natasha!" Ryan flicked her forehead. "Don’t be a child now. If you don’t take it, your rash won’t vanish."
Natasha knew he was right, so with a scrunched face, she opened her mouth, drinking the cure.
"Good. Just like that." Ryan nodded in satisfaction. He smiled at her and continued to feed her till it was done.
Natasha covered her mouth to prevent herself from puking. Ryan reached over his hand, tucking her hair behind her ear.
"You will be alright by tomorrow," he said. But....will she?
Natasha smiled at him with a glint of relief flickering in her eyes.
"Do you want me to stay with you today?" Ryan asked.
From Natasha’s expression, one could tell that she was surprised. For weeks after that last incident, Ryan had been avoiding spending time with her. It was as though he were mad.
It was quite surprising to hear him suggest staying with her. Could this possibly mean that he was no longer angry with her?
"Ryan, are you not mad at me anymore?" she queried.
Ryan shrugged. "I was never mad at you. I was just disappointed, that’s all. Maybe a little bit mad, but I’m okay now." He smiled and stood up from the chair.
"Let’s sleep." He walked with her to the bed to lie down.

Ava exited the mansion with Pierre. Following behind them was Lucien.
"Ava." Lucien’s voice sounded
Ava halted and turned around to look at her. "What?"
"Be very careful with the poison, alright?" Lucien said. One could tell that she was worried.
Ava beamed at her and nodded. "Do not worry. We’ll be just fine." She adjusted the heavy clothing she wore and strolled towards the car with Pierre.
Pierre took his seat in the driver’s seat and started the engine. Ava sat in the passenger seat and slammed the door shut.
Pierre drove out onto the road and began to speed down while whining up the windows.
Ava would take deep breaths every now and then. It was quite obvious that she was nervous. Pierre, who noticed, glanced at her. "Are you okay?" he asked.
Ava fidgeted with her fingers. She replied, "I’m okay. It is just that I am a bit anxious."
"Why?" Pierre was curious.
"I don’t know." Ava shook her head. "I’m afraid of messing up this mission."
Pierre frowned at her. "Why do you think you will mess it up?"
Ava took a deep breath. She did not respond but rather turned her head to the side to stare at the window.
"Pierre, don’t you feel a bit worried?" she suddenly inquired.
"Worried?" Pierre was not sure where she was going with her question, but nonetheless, he decided to respond. "I do not know what you mean by worried, but I am not."
"How come?" Ava looked at him.
"We all know how important this is to Don. We are aware that he is not just doing this for Lady Avelina. Lady Natasha did have something to do with the death of his late wife and son, so... don’t you feel even a bit apprehensive that we might mess this up?" Her brows were raised in skepticism.
Pierre blinked his eyes. His grip on the steering wheel tightened, and he let out a soft breath.
"To be honest, I am indeed a bit apprehensive and anxious." He gave a nod. "But, Ava, that will not help at all. There is no reason for us to be anxious. Don gave us this mission—he trusts us on it, so we should also have faith in ourselves."
