A Game Of Chess With A Vampire
Chapter 178: Do Not Touch Me!

Chapter 178: Do Not Touch Me!

Draven’s confused voice could be heard from the other side of the phone.

[Valentine? Wait, what is going on?]

"It’s an S-graded one, Don, and—"

The phone was snatched from him and thrown across the room, breaking into pieces. The vampire was enraged. He hit Olive so badly that he was sent flying and crashing onto the wall.

Olive plummeted to the floor and coughed hard, spurting out a mouthful of blood. He looked over to see Lucien, who was trembling on the spot. Never had he seen her that scared since knowing her. The intimidation and fear this man was instilling in them were beyond them. It was to the point that even Valentine was terrified.

Olive breathed heavily. He tried to get up from the floor to rush towards Lucien, who was about to get hit, but his momentum was stopped, and it was at that moment that he realized that one of his ribs was broken.

"SHIT!!" he screamed in deep pain. It was bound to have happened as the force with which the vampire had thrown him, coupled with the impact he had made with the sharp end of the wall was brutal. It was by a miracle that he had broken just his rib and not his spinal cord, combined.

Terror filled his eyes as he gazed at Lucien, who was about to get hit. He wanted to go to her—to protect her, but he could not move. No matter how strong she was, Lucien would not be able to take the hit. She won’t be able to at all.

"Lucien!!! LUCIEN!! MOVE!!" As the vampire’s kick was to land on Lucien, Olive shouted, wanting to snap her out of her dazed state. She was glued to the floor, and he knew she was not intending to run, or perhaps she could not seem to force herself to run.

Lucien shut her eyes to take the attack, but before she could be hit, a silhouette rushed in, grabbing a hold of her and covering her. The silhouette was struck, sending them flying and crashing onto the wall.

This person was Valentine. He had luckily made it in time to keep Lucien from taking the hit.

They plummeted to the floor and rolled over. Valentine released his hold on her and grunted in deep pain. The entire bones in his body had shaken vigorously, and he could once again feel soreness in his right arm.

He lifted his eyes to glimpse the vampire, but that was when he noticed lines of blood begin to stream down his face.

Where was all the blood coming from? He raised his hand to touch his head, and it was at that moment that he realized his head was broken.

"Oh my god!" Lucien exclaimed and quickly grabbed a hold of him. "Y-you’re bleeding."

"Valentine!" Olive widened his eyes and struggled to move towards him.

Lucien quickly tore off a long piece from her shirt and proceeded to wrap it around Valentine’s head.

"No, don’t do that." Valentin tried to stop her.

Lucien slapped his hand off. "Stay still unless you want to die. You are really hurt and bleeding profusely. It needs to stop or at least be halted a little bit."

At the sight of the amount of blood Valentine was losing, the vampire’s expression turned ugly.

"My precious blood! You moron, you’re losing it." He appeared before Valentine in the blink of an eye and pushed Lucien aside.

He grabbed Valentine by the collar of his shirt and lifted him into mid-air.

Valentine looked at him, starting to feel his vision getting blurry. His head was on a rollercoaster, and he could feel himself about to lose consciousness.

"Well, it’s not a big deal if you die anyway. I still want your blood, and that is all that matters to me." He leaned closer to Valentine’s neck and elongated his fangs. He pierced his teeth into Valentine’s neck, ready to drink his blood.

Valentine threw his head back and groaned in deep agony. He did not consent to it, and therefore it left him in so much pain.

The second his blood filled the vampire’s mouth, he grunted in pleasure and proceeded to drink more to his heart’s content. To him, Valentine was going to die anyway, so why not take his whole blood instead of letting him perish in vain?

However, his action was stopped before he could even get the amount of fill he needed to raise his strength.

Behind him, a figure stood. The figure’s gloved hand was grabbing onto him.

"Let go of my little brother!" The emotionless voice belonged to none other than Draven, who was breathing heavily, having rushed to the old mansion as fast as he could.

The vampire halted and turned his head to look at Draven. The second their eyes met, the vampire’s pupils dilated, and he let go of Valentine.

Before Valentine could fall to the floor, Olive caught onto him.

"It’s you!" The vampire gazed at Draven in heavy surprise.

Draven glowered, annoyed. He stepped back to stand face-to-face with the vampire.

"Oh, mon dieu! I never thought I would see you again, boy!" the vampire vociferate. "These eyes of yours, I could never forget them. You were that little isolated prince I met a hundred years ago."

He was excited rather than angry, like he was expected to be.

Draven crumpled his brow. What was the old man talking about? He does not recall having met someone like him before. Although...he did look familiar like he had known him from somewhere. The memory of him was not quite vivid.

"Don’t you remember me, boy?" the vampire questioned. He could glimpse the bewildered glint in Draven’s eyes, regardless of the glasses that rested on the bridge of his nose.

Draven raised his brow. "I can’t recall you."

The vampire palmed himself and stepped closer to him. He grabbed his shoulders, staring deeply into his eyes as though trying to see his soul.

"Don’t you recall me? Do I look that different now?" He furrowed his brows. "Boy! It’s me, Caesar! The man who wanted to buy you from your father, Lenort, when you were just a kid You were about this height. Sixteen years, I think."

Draven’s confused expression deepened, and he began to ponder seriously. He can still recall every incident that occurred in his life at age sixteen, but not this man. He does not remember anyone wanting to buy—

Draven’s eyes dilated. He immediately slapped Caesar’s hands away.

"Do not touch me!"
