A Game Of Chess With A Vampire -
Chapter 177: Lord!
Chapter 177: Lord!
Valentine took a deep breath.
"If you both want to keep your lives, you better run," his tone was cold as he said. This was in a way that Olive had never heard him speak before.
Lucien was the first to take a step back. "Olive, we need to call Don." She believed Draven was the only one who could possibly match this vampire in combat. Probably, as she was not even entirely sure if Draven would even be able to take him on.
Valentine exhaled softly, and with his hands shoved into the pocket of his pants, he proceeded to leave the mansion.
"Where do you think you are going?" The hoarse voice of the vampire sounded, causing Valentine to come to a stop.
Valentine glanced over at him.
"Home," he responded.
The vampire finally averted his gaze from the broken vase and glimpsed him.
"You are royalty!" In the flicker of an eye, he was standing before Valentine. His movement was so quick that not even Valentine, Lucien, or Olive caught onto it. Insane speed!
The vampire stood before Valentine and examined him from head to toe. "You are not a teenager, are you?"
"No, I am not." Valentine was frowning.
The vampire abruptly gripped him by the chin and gazed into his eyes. "I wonder why you look so young, like a teenage boy. You must be at least ninety to one hundred years old."
Valentine narrowed his eyes. How could he guess that much? And what exactly was his issue?
"Can you let go of me? Your nails hurt." He scowled at him.
The vampire glanced at his long, sharpened nails, which were digging into Valentine’s porcelain skin.
He smirked. "I know your father."
"And?" Valentine questioned. "It’s not my business. Please, let go of me." He tried to break free from him, but he was like an unmoving mountain.
Sure, the vampire was S-grade, but just how strong was he that even royalty such as himself could not even make him budge? This was the moment Olive and Lucien realized they were in deep trouble.
If even a royalty can’t do it, that means their death is guaranteed. This man would crush them. His aura alone was so intimidating that they could feel it tugging at their souls.
"You know something, boy?" The vampire smiled at Valentine. "I have always wanted to taste the blood of royalty. I heard it was the purest and sweetest form of blood you could ever taste. Not only that, but it could raise the strength tenfold."
Valentine widened his eyes. He was not going to do what he was thinking, right? He was not going to drink his blood, right?
The vampire’s words were more than true. Royalties were special classes of vampires. For them to be able to walk in the sun freely as humans without the fear of getting burned was enough to prove that. Their blood was indeed the purest form of blood one could ever taste, which was why they were never allowed to give their blood to anyone, rather, they were the ones who took.
A cup of their blood was enough to raise one’s strength tenfold.
Olive, who was already aware of what could happen, nervously pulled his phone out to dial Draven’s number. If this vampire ever got the chance to drink Valentine’s blood, it was completely over for them. They can’t even handle him at this level, how much more when he takes Valentine’s blood?
"Hey! Take your hands off me!" Valentine glared at the vampire, hissing at the pain he was causing him.
The vampire’s smile widened. "You reek of energy and vigor. You must be one of the strong offspring in the royal mansion. The scent of your energy is nice. I wish I could let you go, boy, but I must have your blood."
"To be honest, you’re not exactly the one I wanted. I’m looking for one particular brother of yours. The kid I came across a hundred years ago. He was filled with energy that even I could not comprehend. His energy was too much for a kid of his age, and I wanted his blood, but I could not get my hands on it because of your stupid father. Ahh... Lenort and I still have some issues to settle. Day by day, the grudge I have against him grows more and more." He laughed.
"How lucky I am today. My precious vase may have broken, but I couldn’t care less now, at least not with you in front of me." He dug his nails deeper into Valentine’s neck, causing him to grunt in deep pain.
A streak of blood began to flow down his neck, and the vampire’s eyes sparkled. Without hesitation, he licked off the blood and threw his head back in amazement.
"Lord! It tastes better than ever said!" He whipped his head back, only for Valentine to tremble in his grip.
The vigor and blood thirst in this man’s eyes were bone-chilling. As much as he did not want to be afraid, this man was instilling fear in him. This was the sort of thing he had never felt before.
Suddenly, he wished he had stayed back at the royal mansion and came there another day. He just wanted to leave the royal mansion for a few hours and have a few days to himself.
This place was somewhere he always came and never did he once think this vampire resided there. Was he lucky to always be there when he was not around?
"Relax, boy, I’m not going to drink you dry. I just want a little bit. Just a little. So be cooperative and let me—" The vampire’s words came to a halt the second he glimpsed Olive, who was on the phone.
"What do you think you are doing?" He let go of Valentine to rush towards Olive.
[Olive]
"Don, please, you need to come here as soon as possible, or else Lucien and I are going to die, including your younger brother, Valentine," Olive shouted.
