Chapter 156: Ryan, Please!

Chapter 156: Ryan, Please!

Lancelot nodded.

"Yes, young master." He was curious and wanted to ask what the problem was, but knowing his young master, it was better not to inquire.

Ryan opened the door and stepped inside. He shut the door and locked it.

There on the bed, Natasha lay, smiling at herself with her eyes closed. For some reason, this further infuriated Ryan.

With deep vexation evident on his face, he stormed towards the bed, gripped Natasha by the hand, and yanked her out of the bed.

Natasha was startled, as she had not noticed anyone coming into the room. She took deep breaths to calm herself down and looked at Ryan.

"What is the meaning of this, Ryan?" she asked. "You could have hurt me badly, do you not realize that?"

Ryan stared at her, and his face contorted in an ugly manner.

"Are you stupid? What in the world is wrong with you?" he questioned, scowling.

Natasha frowned at him. "What do you mean by that?"

Ryan stepped closer to her and gazed into her eyes.

"Natasha, what did I tell you last time?"

Natasha crinkled her brows at him. "What are you talking about?"

What is going on? She was beginning to panic inwardly. For Ryan to be there in that state, something must have happened.

A deep breath exited Ryan’s nose and he calmed himself down, not willing to act rashly. He looked at Natasha and said, "So you lied to me, Natasha? I specifically asked you last time what you did, and you told me you did nothing. I questioned you over and over again because I was more than sure you did something, yet you lied to me with such confidence on your face."

"What were you thinking? That I am dumb and that I wouldn’t find out," he questioned.

Natasha’s eyes frantically darted around the room and she proceeded to take a step back from him, but Ryan grabbed her wrist, pulling her back.

"Don’t you dare take a step away from me!" he warned.

Natasha could swear she heard her heart skip a beat in fear. She had never seen Ryan this enraged before, at least not with her. He was always very soft with her. This made her wonder if it was still the same man standing right in front of her.

"Natasha, I will only ask you this question once, and if you dare lie to me, you will regret it." Ryan’s tone was threatening.

"Did you or did you not visit a witch recently?" he questioned, his brows arched. He was impatiently waiting for an answer from her.

Natasha stared at him.

What was this? How did he even find out this quickly?! She fluttered her eyes and swallowed.

Should she tell him the truth? But what if he hurts her and does more than that? Maybe she should just lie to him. After all, she could still get away with it. She is aware that he goes all soft once he sees her crying. She could fake a cry.

This was better than telling him the truth. He would deal with her if she did. He did give a warning last time, after all.

Natasha slowly shook her head. "I didn’t, Rya—"

Her words were not even complete when a heavy slap from Ryan landed on her cheek. The impact caused her to fall to the floor. Her nose began to bleed, and the blood dripped onto the floor.

"You really have no shame! Why do you look so disgusting to me right now, Natasha?" Ryan asked. His shoulders were rising and falling in rage.

"Even after I gave you another chance to be truthful to me, you still chose to lie to me! What do you think I am? A fool?! Someone that you can use whenever you like"

"You are such a selfish woman! You do not think about others but only yourself. Do you know what you have done? You know we are strictly prohibited from having anything to do with witches. Father hates them to the core! He would be more than willing to kill whoever goes against that rule, yet you did!"

"What about our son? Did you not even think of him once before you did this?" he yelled at her. "I told you to wait patiently! I told you that that human has nothing to do with what happened to your estate, yet you went against my words and did as you liked! Do you even realize what sort of trouble you are in? Do you know what will happen if Father finds out?"

"Oh wait, haha, you probably think that he will spare you just because you are his first daughter-in-law. You are way more stupid than I thought, Natasha. Do you think a father willing to kill his own son, his flesh and blood, will give a fuck about a mere daughter-in-law? He would murder you without a second thought."

He squatted down to her level and harshly gripped her jaw.

"You know, I was kind of an idiot because I have just realized you do not love me in the way that I do. You only love yourself. You are a selfish bitch! And suddenly, I regret loving you and even marrying you. I never should have, because you are nothing more than a liar," he said to her. His tone made it obvious that he was genuinely hurt.

Natasha’s eyes widened, and tears began to stream down her cheek.

"Ryan, no, that is not true. She vigorously shook her head at him and grabbed his hand. "I love you, and that is the truth. We are mates, so how can I not love you? That is impossible and—"

"Hahahahahah!" Ryan burst into laughter. "You think that being mates automatically means we love each other and feel the same way? Natasha, mate, is just a bond. Love is a whole different case. Being mates does not guarantee love between us, and you have made it very clear to me."

"No, no, no, please, Ryan. Please." Natasha grabbed his hand, not letting him go.

Ryan snatched his hand, standing up to his feet. "If you loved me, Natasha, you never would have done what you did. You never would have lied to me, and you would have thought of our son and me!" He began to storm off to the door.
