Chapter 150: Good Luck!

Chapter 150: Good Luck!

Prince, who was gazing at his sister, slightly smiled and glanced at Draven. "Je suis d’accord avec elle, Don."

"Me too. I agree with her," Lucien said.

Olive lifted his hand, concurring. "I agree."

"Me too. Ava is right," Pierre added.

Loui shrugged. "I have never liked Lady Natasha anyway. She has committed a bit too much, so I concur." He was beaming.

Draven nodded. "I see..."

He folded his arms and rested back on his chair.

"Then shall we draw up a plan I have in mind?"

"Yes, Don!" They all responded in unison.

"My wife’s case ends tomorrow! She will no longer be in pain. But Natasha’s case and agony will begin a day after that," Draven said.

Everyone glanced at each other, bewildered.

"What do you mean? How exactly?" Loui inquired.

Draven was silent for a few moments before proceeding to break down his plan and enlighten them.

They listened attentively and patiently. All the while, Lucien was blinking her eyes, her mouth slightly agape.

"Do we really have to use that poison?" he asked.

"Yes." Draven nodded. "It’s perfect, and it will do the job according to our plan."

"Don, can you describe the looks of the maid? I think Prince needs to know in order not to approach a different maid and mess up the plan."

Draven began to explain, "Her name is Laila. Not too long hair but it’s in pigtails with bangs as well. She has brownish eyes. Hmm...a bit taller than my wife, but quite skinny. Oh, yes, she has a mole right above her lip."

Prince, who was attentive, was jotting everything down. "Okay." He closed the small note and stuffed it into the pocket of his hoodie.

"Lucien." Draven shifted his attention to her. "I need that poison ready in a matter of a week."

Lucien flickered her eyes. "But, Don, I cannot be done with it in a week. It is the hardest of all the poisons I have ever made. I need at least two weeks or a week and a few days."

"You cannot do it in under a week?" Draven was frowning.

Lucien replied, "I can, but... I just don’t want to make any mistakes that may potentially set us back."

Draven shook his head at her.

"You have to do it in under a week. My father’s birthday is in the next two weeks. I need to give this to him as a birthday gift. She is his pawn after all. If you take more time than needed, the whole plan would be for nothing."

"Oh..." Lucien nodded in realization. A soft breath fled her nose, and she said, "Alright, I will try my best to finish it in a week."

"Good." Draven was satisfied.

Seeming to have thought of something, Pierre shifted closer to Draven.

"Don, do we not need the map of the royal mansion? I think it should be convenient if we want to move about unnoticed."

Draven nodded, confirming, "Indeed, you do."

"Leave that to me. I will have the map ready for you in two days."

"Is two enough for you to do it?" Olive asked.

"Of course." Draven shrugged. "Drawing the interior map of the royal mansion isn’t that hard. Besides, I just need to give you guys the main routes, nothing more."

They all nodded, understanding.

Draven stood up from his seat. He looked to be in a better mood.

"Lucien, you are the first piece to move, the others will follow afterward. So be careful."

Lucien nodded, a smile plastered on her face.

"I’ll be taking my leave now," Draven said, but before he left, he glanced at Loui and Pierre.

"My apologies for hurting both of you. However, I must say your speed is very horrible. You both should work on that, especially you, Loui. You are very slow for your kind."

He shoved his hands into the pocket of his pants and started to exit the mansion.

Loui flickered his eyes, embarrassed. Not just him, but Pierre as well.

Olive did not want to look at them. He possibly could have gotten the same lecture if Draven had actually tested him.

"Well, Lucien." Pierre stood up to his feet. "Good luck," he said, extending his hand out for a fist bump.

Lucien smiled and fist-bumped him.

——

The royal mansion was silent. Not a single soul was awake.

Natasha blinked her lashes open. She stood up from the bed and walked over to the drawer where she had hidden the talisman.

Due to their fight, Ryan did not spend the night with her. He rather slept in a different room as though it were the best option.

It’s fine. I cannot be bothered with it for now. I have something much more important to think about. She snickered and grabbed the talisman.

Outside the door, none other than Laila was waiting.

"Good morning, my lady," Laila greeted.

Natasha did not respond but simply walked past her. "Let’s go."

Laila obediently followed behind her, and they exited the mansion onto the royal grounds.

Natasha bit her long fingernails as she looked around. She was pondering where to bury the talisman. She was not sure if it would be okay to bury it anywhere. I mean, she cannot afford to mess up.

"Hey!" She turned her head to glimpse Laila, who was standing behind her, trembling in fear.

Laila flickered her eyes, startled. "Y-yes, my lady."

Natasha folded her arms. Her expression was nothing but one of arrogance.

"Where do you think I should bury this?" she questioned.

Laila was confused. "Ah, I am not sure, my lady." How was she supposed to know?

"I am not asking you to be sure, you moron! I asked for your suggestion so that I can compare it with mine." Natasha’s face was scrunched up in irritation.

"Oh..." Laila smiled nervously. "W-w-well, I think it would be best to bury it somewhere near the third prince’s quarter. I’m not very sure, but I think it might work better that way."

Natasha raised her brow. "You do have a point."

Burying it near Draven’s quarter was probably the best idea of all. That way, it was a definite guarantee to work.

She smirked. "I know a place just so perfect for that. Follow me."
