A Game Of Chess With A Vampire
Chapter 114: No Shame At All

Chapter 114: No Shame At All

Natasha scratched her neck and smiled awkwardly.

"I have...come for business. There is something that I would like to ask of you."

The woman raised her brow at her. "What is your name?"

"Uh..." Natasha batted her lashes. "Natasha D-delgaard."

"I see." The woman folded her arms.

"Have a seat," she said as she walked over to sit on the chair that was opposite the one she had offered.

Natasha nodded and sat down. She beamed before inquiring, "W-what shall I address you by?"

The energy she was sensing from the woman was a bit too much for her to handle. Not to mention the fact that the lady was a witch, and witches were the only race hated by all creatures, including her kind, the vampires, and even the humans. She could not afford to offend her. Once she was done with the business she came there for, she would leave and never look back.

"Ceicei," the woman replied.

Natasha nodded with a smile on her lips. "Ceicei," she repeated.

"So what brings you here? And be fast with it. I don’t like having my time wasted." Ceicei crossed her legs and watched her with an arched brow.

Natasha fidgeted with her hands. She took a deep breath to calm herself down before proceeding to speak. "T-there is someone that I want you to get rid of, but not in a direct way. I have tried that way, but it did not work."

"What? Who?" Ceicei questioned.

Natasha responded, her expression abruptly turning ugly, "My brother-in-law’s wife."

Ceicei was stunned by this.

"Your brother-in-law’s wife? Why?" she probed.

Natasha nodded, then she went ahead to explain, "She is human, and she has been causing quite a lot of trouble for me. Not just for me but for everyone. It’s utterly irking, and I cannot stand by and watch."

"Oh, is that so?" Ceicei asked.

"Yes," Natasha confirmed.

"A little bit of advice from me, Mrs Natasha." For the first time, Ceicei smiled at her. "Learn how to lie. You are very terrible at it."

"What?" Natasha was taken aback by her words.

"You could have simply said it was a personal issue. Do I look like a moron to you? If she was causing trouble for the royal family, do you think that your father-in-law would let her live and cause you the trouble to come all the way here and seek a way to kill her? Pfft, you vampires are something else." Ceicei shook her head, her eyes filled with disdain.

"You are not very conscious of yourself, are you?" she questioned.

Natasha secretly balled her hands into a tight fist and scoffed inwardly.

"My apologies."

Ceicei beamed at her. "Please get to the point."

Natasha let out a soft breath and crossed her legs with a serious smile.

"As I said, I want you to get rid of her in a way that would never be figured out. I don’t want anyone, not even my husband, to know about this. I will pay you any amount that you may request."

Ceicei stared at her. She abruptly stood up from her chair and began to walk past the shelves while tracing her fingertips against the books.

"In what way do you want me to kill her? I have different ways to kill." She halted and glanced at Natasha. "Instant death? Soul revoking death and... death through sleep. Which one do you prefer?"

Natasha lowered her head to think. "Which one is the most painful?"

Ceicei was surprised. Why was she asking? She is not planning to torture the human before killing her, right? If so, just how much does she hate this human? What exactly could she have done to her?

"Well, death through sleep is the most painful, because she will be tortured every night in her dream till she dies," she clarified.

Natasha grinned.

"I want that one. Dying through her sleep is the best option. Not just that, but nobody will know the cause of her death or how she even died."

Ceicei nodded, concurring. She folded her arms and queried, "What exactly has this human done to you? I have never had anyone ask me to kill with that method. It’s quite surprising that you are the first. It’s a very heartless method, you know."

"I don’t really care." Natasha scoffed. "I want her dead, but I don’t want her to die so easily. I need her to be in pain and misery."

"You’re quite the heartless woman," Ceicei commented.

Then she added, "But it’s none of my business. Agree to pay me in full, I will carry out the job."

"You don’t have to worry about that." Natasha was widely smiling.

Ceicei nodded and grabbed a book from the shelf. "Oh, one more thing. You need to provide her photo. I cannot do anything if you do not bring one to—"

"Here you go." Natasha stood up from the chair and walked over to her. She handed her a photo of Avelina.

Ceicei was obviously surprised—flabbergasted at how prepared this woman came. She even had a photo of the target, as though she knew it would be needed.

With a bit of reluctance, she took the photo and glanced at it.

"She’s a beautiful, poor thing." She clicked her tongue and shoved the photo into her pocket.

Natasha inquired, curious, "So will the job be done?"

Ceicei nodded.

"Of course. I will request my payment halfway through the task. If you do not pay me, I will not think twice about exposing you."

This statement caused Natasha’s expression to turn ugly. She tightened her fists, bits of annoyance flickering in her pupils. "Do I look like a commoner to you? Of course, I will pay you. If I wasn’t going to, I wouldn’t be here."

"In fact, I can pay as soon as you want," she added.

"No, it’s fine." Ceicei shook her head. "I’m just saying, that’s all. You may leave now. Leave the rest to me," she said.

Natasha sneered. "Thank you."

She turned around and left the house. Ceicei lifted her eyes and glanced at the door. "No shame at all."

She could not help but cackle inwardly.
